# Changelog

## 0.5.0 · 2026-09-29
- **Catch-up when you log in**: your addon asks the players online for what was shared while you were away (the first time, since the data of your version). One player who has it sends it bit by bit (about 100 places a minute), in the moments when nothing else is being sent, without filling your discovery feed; whoever lacks the same data gets it too. A long catch-up comes in parts of up to 800 records: the same player goes on with the rest, and no place is sent twice. Community shows how it goes, and one notice tells you what arrived. Only first-hand data travels (places, levels, speeds, names, 3D models, and the sender's own tames and "the game told me" results): nothing is ever confirmed on someone else's word. Nothing is sent in combat or instances. Players still on 0.4.0 or older neither ask nor answer.
- **Your own votes and likes no longer count twice** (they did in 0.4.0): Forever does not always give addons your realm, so your own messages, when they came back to you, were counted as another hunter's (two votes, two likes, and you as one of the "other players"). Your messages are now recognised, and the duplicates already stored (votes, likes, reporters, tames, confirmations) are merged by themselves when you log in.
- **Sorting in Beasts**: a dropdown ("Sort: Level") to choose level, name, attack speed, last seen or likes, and an arrow next to it for ascending or descending. Beasts without that value (no level, no speed, never seen) always go last. When nobody has liked those beasts yet, sorting by likes says so (they are then sorted by level).
- **Wishlist filter** in Beasts: only the beasts you marked with the star, combined with any other filter.
- **Alert for the beasts you like** (optional, off by default): the same alert as for your wishlist. Only your own star and your own heart count: other hunters' likes, and what other players see anywhere, never alert you.
- **Share without my name** (Settings): what you find is shared as always, but other players see it as found by "a hunter" (players still on 0.4.0 or older see the name). Recording and sharing are now always on: their switches, and the hidden channel one, are gone from Settings, because that is how the map fills. If you had turned sharing off in an older version, you now share without your name.
- Seven beasts no longer show "[Deprecated for 4.x]" before their Spanish name (a tag of the source database).
- Guide texts updated (alerts and privacy).
- **Community data** updated: 215 beasts and 1,087 places from 61 players, up to 2026-09-29 (Azeroth is 36% mapped).
