For All The Nerds

Tells you the lore and history of wherever you are standing, down to individual towns, ruins and dungeons

ForAllTheNerds tells you the history of the places you walk through.

When you arrive somewhere new, a small card appears with one line about where you are. Click it to read more: a few paragraphs on what the place is, who lives there and what happened there. If you don't click it, it fades away on its own.

It covers more than zones. Goldshire, Northshire Abbey, the Deadmines, Raven Hill Cemetery, the Stonewrought Dam, Grim Batol. 626 places in total: 50 zones, 562 towns, ruins and landmarks, and 14 dungeons, raids and battlegrounds.

The lore stops at patch 1.12

Everything from the original game is included, along with the history behind it from Warcraft III, II and I: the Sundering, the War of the Ancients, the fall of Lordaeron, the Battle of Mount Hyjal. Nothing from The Burning Crusade or later.

There are no spoilers. Entries tell you a place's history and how things stand there now. They don't tell you how quests turn out or what is waiting at the end of a dungeon.

Forever's new zones

Mount Hyjal, Riverglades, Shen'dralas and Zephras Isle have entries, but they are turned off by default. Turn them on with /ftn forever on and you get the background to those places: where they are, who lives there, and the older history behind the names. Nothing about the new storylines.

These four are thinner than the rest, because the in-game names for their smaller areas aren't documented anywhere yet. They will be filled in.
