What's new

Changelog

1.2.4

  • Changed: The on-screen buttons are now hidden by default. Turn them on in the /fo panel or with /fo show. The action bar macros work either way.

1.2.3

  • Fixed: The addon is no longer flagged as out of date on the 1.60 (WoW Forever) client. Interface 16001 is added to the TOC.
  • Changed: /fo debug now opens a window with selectable text you can copy. It also shows the client version and whether the addon is flagged as out of date.

1.2.2

  • Added: /fo debug shows how the saved settings were loaded at each stage of login.
  • Changed: Saved button settings are re-applied at login and when entering the world, in case the client provides them after the addon loads.

1.2.1

  • Fixed: No food or drink was found right after logging in; it only worked after a /reload. Item tooltips are incomplete until the game has loaded item data, so the addon now retries until they're complete instead of marking items as non-food.

1.2.0

  • Changed: Button position, visibility and lock are now saved per character. Food order and unticked items are still shared across the account.
  • Fixed: WoW's layout cache no longer overrides the addon's saved button position at login.

1.1.1

  • Fixed: Lua error "attempt to call a nil value" when scanning bags on clients where GetItemInfoInstant and GetItemInfo only exist under C_Item.

Known issues

  • WoW Forever beta (1.60.x): the client saves addon settings but never loads them, so all settings reset at every login. This is a known client bug. It affects every addon, not just Food Optimizer.

The 1.2.2 and 1.2.3 entries describe what the code does, but on the Forever beta neither fixes lost settings, because of the client bug. I kept them factual rather than claiming they fixed it.
