Focus Interrupt Sounds (FIS) - WoW Forever rewrite

FIS plays different sounds for hostile focus and target casts, plus a confirmation sound when you or your pet successfully interrupts a tracked cast.

Currently supported interrupts

• Druid: Skull Bash, Solar Beam
• Hunter: Counter Shot, Muzzle
• Mage: Counterspell
• Paladin: Rebuke, Avenger's Shield
• Priest: Silence
• Rogue: Kick
• Shaman: Earth Shock, Wind Shear
• Warlock: Spell Lock, Axe Toss
• Warrior: Pummel

Commands

  /fis                         Show current settings

Forever Compatibility

WoW Forever prevents addons from registering COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED. Focus Interrupt Sounds instead detects successful interrupts by correlating your interrupt ability with the tracked enemy’s UNIT_SPELLCAST_INTERRUPTED event.

This dependency-free rewrite targets WoW Forever interface 16001. It uses public-domain sound assets from the original FocusInterruptSounds archive; see the included LICENSE file for attribution and licensing details.

Credits and Origin

Focus Interrupt Sounds for WoW Forever is inspired by FocusInterruptSounds, created by corgatag and published under the Public Domain license.

This version was rewritten from scratch for WoW Forever and its restricted API. It adds Forever-compatible target and focus cast detection, separate alert sounds, successful-interrupt detection, configurable sounds and chat messages, slash-command settings, and safe handling of protected or secret game data.

This release supports WoW Forever only and is not a Retail-compatible continuation of the original addon.
