Fishing's Fun

A fishing log for WoW: Forever. See where you fished, for how long, and how often each fish bites, then check which recipes your catch goes into. It also equips your fishing gear in one click and adds a lure bar and a session overlay.

What's new

Fishing's Fun

1.1.0

  • New Journal tab (/fif journal) with every fish and treasure you can catch in each zone. Fish you've caught show their icon, and the rest are "?" slots. Hover one to see the fishing skill its zone needs. Everything already in your log counts.
  • Clicking a fish now also shows when and where you first caught it, how many you've caught, your best spot (click it for a map pin), your best session, and the zones it lives in.

1.0.0

The first full release for WoW: Forever.

  • A log of every fishing session: where you fished, for how long, casts, catches, success rate, fish that got away, and catches per hour for each fish. The Places tab totals every spot you've fished, and History lists your past sessions.
  • Click a location to put a map pin on it.
  • Click a fish to see which recipes use it. A recipe shows what it makes, its ingredients and how many you carry, its skill-up colours, and how you learn it.
  • Gear setup picks a fishing item for each slot. One click puts the set on, and another puts back what you wore before.
  • The buff bar has a button for each lure or other item that raises your fishing skill. It shows only while you fish, and leaves out anything whose effect you already have: once a lure is on your pole, the other lures drop off the bar until it wears off.
  • The session overlay is a small panel with the current session. Its top line is your fishing skill, for example "Fishing 150/225 +25", with the bonus from lures, buffs and gear in green.
  • Optional cast on double right-click.
  • Long lines in the window wrap instead of getting cut off.
