Festerpus' Buff Watch
A pre-pull dashboard that only speaks up when something is actually fixable.
Most buff trackers show you a wall of icons for everything you could ever have. Festerpus' Buff Watch does the opposite: the dashboard stays empty until something is wrong and you can do something about it — a missing flask, an unbuffed weapon, a demon that should be sacrificed, a totem you've wandered away from. Fix it and the icon disappears. No providers in the group for a buff? It won't nag you about it.
Built for WoW Classic: The Burning Crusade Anniversary.
What it watches
Consumables — flask or battle/guardian elixir pair, buff food, and weapon enhancements, with spec-aware recommendations for every class. Clicking a consumable icon opens a small choice rail beside the dashboard showing what's actually in your bags, sorted by what your spec wants first. One click uses it — oils, stones, and poisons apply straight to your main hand or off hand, and Shaman weapon imbues cast and apply in the same click.
Personal buffs and states — armor spells, Inner Fire, forms (including Moonkin, Tree, and Bear/Cat with powershift tolerance), shields, stances, Righteous Fury for tanks only, Aspects, Mana Gems with charge tracking and one-click replacement, Healthstones, Soulstones, pet presence and happiness, ammo, and per-class reagent stock (Soul Shards, Ankh, Symbol of Kings, Sacred Candles, Gift of the Wild reagents, Arcane Powder, Flash Powder) — each gated on the spells you actually know.
Raid buffs you should have — Mark of the Wild, Fortitude, Arcane Intellect, Divine Spirit, Shadow Protection, and Paladin blessings, but only when a living, capable provider is in your group. Talent-gated buffs require a provider who can genuinely cast them right now — a lingering aura from before a respec doesn't count. If no Priest can give you Spirit, spirit-scaling casters get a Scroll of Spirit suggestion instead (and never when it would conflict with Divine Spirit).
Party auras and totems — Windfury, Wrath of Air, Grace of Air, Strength of Earth, Mana Spring, Totem of Wrath, Moonkin Aura, Leader of the Pack, Tree of Life, Trueshot, shouts, and Blood Pact. Range warnings are honest: the addon only says "likely out of range" when other members of your subgroup demonstrably have the aura and you don't — it never guesses.
Buffs you should be providing — the flip side: as a buffer, see who in the raid is missing your buff, with reagent-aware group-versus-single casting.
Quality of life
- Click casting — out of combat, left-click an icon to cast the fix directly. Right-click ignores a rule for your current spec.
- PallyPower integration — with PallyPower running, blessing expectations come exclusively from its exact assignments. No duplicate default-Kings icons.
- Addon sync — group members running the addon share exact talent capabilities, so provider detection gets sharper the more of you use it.
- JC Neck Tracker — optional cooldown tracking for jewelcrafter necklaces across the raid.
- Spec detection — automatic via signature talents with sensible fallbacks, including the Feral cat/bear split. Override any time with
/ba role. - Everything works while leveling too: checks key off spells you know, and raid-consumable reminders stay quiet below endgame levels.
