Waylaid Crates

Favorpath ranks Waylaid Crates by the gold you pay for 1 Merchant's Favor. The cheapest crate is at the top. Each row names the bundle that fills it for the least gold, and a button buys that crate listing together with the goods that fill it.

You still seal the crate and turn it in yourself. Favorpath does not complete the turn-in.

How to buy a crate

1. Open the auction house and talk to the auctioneer. The scan button appears in the Favorpath window only while the auction house is open.
2. Click Scan the auction house, or type /favorpath ah. A full scan can be on cooldown for about 15 minutes. If it is, the addon keeps the last prices.
3. Read the list from the top. The heading on each row is the price of one favor. Under it: how many of which item fill the crate, the crate price, the fill price, and the total.
4. Click Buy. The first click only searches the auction house for that crate and its fill. Nothing is purchased yet.
5. When the button changes to Again, click it a second time. That click spends the gold.
6. Take the sealed crate to your faction camp.

How the ranking works

• The sort is the price of one crate plus one fill, divided by the favor that crate pays. A lower number is higher on the list.
• Goods already in your bags are not bought again. They do not change which bundle is ranked cheapest.
• A listing is bought whole, the way the auction house sells a stack. If the cheapest crate lot is more than one, the button buys that lot and a fill for each crate in it.
• Bundles of more than 20 are set aside when a smaller bundle is priced. A crate can reject a stack that is larger than it accepts. If the oversized bundle is still cheaper, the row says so.
• Artisan crates stay at the bottom without a gold-per-favor rate until the favor they pay is published.

Crafting the fill

If your character knows the recipe for the chosen fill, that row gets a separate line. It shows what the reagents cost on the auction house, and whether crafting is cheaper or more expensive than buying the finished goods. Known recipes inside the recipe are included. A reagent with no auction price is named as missing. This line is only a comparison. The list stays sorted by the cost of the finished fill.

Also included

Favorpath also keeps gathering level with your character. The skill that matches your level is level × 5, capped at 300.

• Herbalism, Mining, Skinning, and Fishing. Open the window with /favorpath or the minimap button. Expand a profession to see where it is worth training right now.
• Quest colors. Gray gives no points, green is rare, yellow is common, orange is almost every node, and red cannot be gathered yet. For fishing, the color is about getaways: green and yellow water levels faster. The same colors are pins on the continent map.
• Fish on the minimap. Find Fish is turned on with herb and ore tracking, not instead of it. The checkbox is on by default. After you resurrect, herb and ore tracking turn back on. Fish does too while the box is checked.

Window

• All zones shows gray and distant zones. Leave it off to see where to go now.
• Map pins shows or hides the pins. Left-click a pin, or a zone in the list, to open that zone. Right-click the minimap button to toggle the pins. Drag the button around the minimap.
• Fish on the minimap toggles Find Fish.

Commands

• /favorpath or /favor opens and closes the window. /prog does the same.
• /favorpath ah scans the auction house while it is open.
• /favorpath map toggles map pins.
• /favorpath fish toggles fish schools on the minimap.
• /favorpath all toggles every zone.
• /favorpath minimap toggles the minimap button.
• /favorpath reset puts the window and the button back.
• /favorpath check prints a short status line.

Install

1. Copy the Favorpath folder into World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns\.
2. Leave the folder name as Favorpath.
3. Restart the client the first time you install it.

Item, zone, profession, and currency names come from the client. Favorpath's own text is translated for English, German, French, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Favorpath is for World of Warcraft: Forever. It is not a Classic Era addon.
