Description
Fatebound
Fatebound is a progression-driven corruption system centered around devotion to the Old Gods. Bind yourself to the whispers of the void, accumulate Favor by completing quests, harvest Relics, and shape your power through escalating risk.
This is not a passive bonus addon. Your power must be maintained — or it will decay.
Core Loop
- Gain Favor with the Old Gods through gameplay.
- Acquire Relics from killing creatures or specific boss encounters via Siphoning.
- Slot relics into perk trees to define your build.
- Collect Soul Essence from slain enemies or by dismantling relics.
- Spend Soul Essence in the Forge to upgrade relics.
- Lose Soul Essence on death.
- Fail to offer Devotion, and your Favor will drain over time.
Your allegiance must be sustained.
The Five Corruption Stats
Fatebound revolves around five scaling corruption attributes:
Madness
Unstable void energies manifest unpredictably around the player. Effects scale with Madness and may become increasingly volatile.
Despair
Currently dormant. Its purpose will unfold in future updates.
Obsession
Slows the rate at which Favor drains over time. Higher Obsession grants longer stability between Devotions.
Dominance
Increases the chance for relic drops from slain enemies.
Convergence
Improves the success rate of relic upgrades within the Forge.
Devotion & Favor
Favor does not last indefinitely.
Players must periodically Offer Devotion while resting in a sanctuary. Devotion temporarily halts Favor decay. When the protection ends, drain resumes — escalating over time if left unattended.
If Favor reaches zero, the Old Gods fall silent.
Relics & Siphoning
Certain items dropped bosses may be siphoned to extract unique relics tied to the void’s influence. These relics can be slotted into perk trees, enhancing specific mechanics tied to your corruption stats.
Each relic can be upgraded through the Forge using Soul Essence. Upgrade success is influenced by Convergence.
Failure has consequences.
The Old Gods
Your path is shaped by the ancient powers:
- C’Thun
- Yogg-Saron
- Y’Shaarj
- G’huun
- N’Zoth
Their influence defines your progression, your mechanics, and the tone of your corruption.
Death & Risk
Death carries weight.
You lose Soul Essence upon dying, reinforcing the risk–reward structure of deep corruption investment.
PvP Notice
Fatebound is currently not recommended for PvP use. Systems are tuned for PvE progression and may not be balanced for competitive environments.
Fatebound is a persistent, escalating corruption system.
Power is granted — but only to those who sustain their devotion.
Future updates will include new paths to choose from such as the Pantheon.
Note: All effects are addon-only and do not affect retail gameplay or combat. The addon is purely cosmetic.
