Welcome to the FAHU Beta! This addon takes the guesswork out of the Auction House by doing all the heavy math for you. Instead of staring at a giant list of gear and wondering, *"Is this sword actually better for my build? FAHU scans every item, assigns it a simple number score, and tells you exactly how big of an upgrade it is.
Here is how to understand what FAHU is doing behind the scenes.
1. Quick Start Guide (How to Use FAHU)
FAHU loads automatically in the background as soon as you log into the game.
**The Minimap Button:** Look for the gold coin icon around your minimap. Left-click this coin to show or hide the FAHU windows so they don't block your character sheet. Right-click the coin to reset the windows to their default position if you ever drag them off-screen.
**Searching the AH:** Open the Auction House and use the default search filters to find the specific category of gear
you are looking for (like Leather Legs or One-Handed Swords).
**Scanning:** Once the Auction House displays a list of items, click the red **Scan AH** button at the top of the FAHU window. The addon will immediately read every item on your screen, compare it to your equipped gear, and generate a ranked list of verified upgrades.
## 2. How Does FAHU Grade Items? (The Piggy Bank Math)
Imagine stats are like coins. A penny is worth 1 cent, and a quarter is worth 25 cents. FAHU treats stats the exact same way, but the value changes depending on your class and role!
When you open the Auction House, FAHU looks at your talent tree to figure out if you are a **Tank**, a **Healer**, a **Melee DPS**, or a **Caster**.
* If you are a Melee Hunter, FAHU gives a high point value to Agility and Attack Power, but gives zero points to Spell Power.
* If you are a Holy Paladin, it gives massive points to Healing and Intellect.
It adds up all the "coins" on an item and gives it a total **Item Score**. If the AH item has a score of 50, and the item you are wearing has a score of 40, FAHU will show it as a **+10.0 UPGRADE** in bright green text.
## 3. The "Two-Slot" Trick (Dual Wielding, Rings, and Trinkets)
This is the most important thing to know about FAHU!
World of Warcraft’s default comparison tool is not very smart. If you look at a One-Handed Sword on the Auction House, the default game will *always* compare it to your Main-Hand weapon.
**FAHU is much smarter.** If an item can fit into two different slots (like One-Handed weapons, Rings, or Trinkets), FAHU looks at *both* of your slots and finds the **weakest** one.
* **Example:** You have an amazing Epic sword in your Main-Hand (Score: 100). But you have a terrible, rusty low level dagger in your Off-Hand (Score: 10).
* If you find a decent sword on the AH (Score: 50), the default WoW UI will say it is a massive downgrade compared to your Epic Main-Hand.
**FAHU will tell you it is a +40.0 UPGRADE.** Why? Because FAHU knows you can put it in your Off-Hand to
replace the rusty dagger!
Always trust FAHU's math. If a score seems surprisingly high, it is because FAHU found a weak spot in your armor (like a bad second ring or a weak off-hand weapon) and is telling you how to fix it.
## 4. The Live Talent Build Window (Yellow & Green Buttons)
Sometimes, you pick a special Talent that completely changes how gear works for you. For example, the Enhancement Shaman talent *Mental Dexterity* magically turns Intellect into Attack Power. Normally, addons don't know you have these special talents. **FAHU does.**
Attached to the right side of the FAHU Upgrades window is your **Live Talent Build**. FAHU scans your spellbook and finds these special rule-breaking talents.
**Gray Buttons:** Standard talents that don't change how gear is scored.
**Yellow Buttons:** FAHU recognizes this talent has a special math rule! Hover over it to read what it does.
**Green Buttons (Active):** Click a yellow button to turn it Green. FAHU will instantly recalculate the entire
Auction House using your special talent rules!
If you want to see what gear would be best if you decided to change your build, just click the Green button to turn it off. The gear list will instantly update to show you the standard baseline math.
## 5. The Mystery of "Hidden Stats" (Random Suffixes)
Have you ever seen an item on the AH called *"Robust Bracers of the Bear"* or *"Pioneer Trousers of the Eagle"*? The Auction House hides the actual stats of these items. You normally can't see how much Strength or Intellect they have until you hover your mouse directly over the price tag to pretend to buy it. Because the default game UI is blind to these hidden stats, it will often show you buggy, incorrect math (like telling you a sword has negative Intellect when it doesn't).
**FAHU sends an invisible robot to read the price tags.** While you are looking at the FAHU side window, the addon is secretly "hovering" over every single item in the background. It reads the hidden stats, does the math, and shows you
the true **[FAHU] Item Score** at the bottom of the tooltip.
Ignore the game's buggy default yellow text on these items. Only trust the bright green FAHU text at the bottom!

**Word from the creator:** This addon was made using AI. AI has been known to make mistakes. I have found that it works pretty well and am constantly seeking to improve it. any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am not a programmer but I can Use AI pretty well so there may be some hiccups along the way. Just giving you fair warning. The biggest problem I have been dealing with is that some items dont always give the stats, however, as I have been working with it, I have been solving these issues.
