Fader GP

Modifiable Gamepad UI Addon for hiding standard Blizzard UI elements to increase immersion.

Fader GP

Fader GP gives you control over how much of your HUD stays visible during controller play in WoW Forever Beta. Keep the screen clear while exploring, bring back essential information when targeting, and choose how much UI you want during combat.

I'm early along in creation of this addon, feedback and requests are welcome.

Set your own visibility levels

Gamepad action bars, controller button prompts, and player/target portraits each have their own enable toggle and three independent opacity sliders:

Out of combat: Keep elements visible, partially transparent, or completely hidden.

Targeting: Choose their visibility when selecting an enemy or friendly target, including soft targeting.

In combat: Show everything clearly or keep the quieter look you prefer.

Each slider ranges from 0% to 100%. The starting profile uses 0% out of combat, 25% while targeting, and 100% in combat. An adjustable fade duration makes transitions to lower visibility gradual.

Bring information back when it matters

Optional health and resource thresholds reveal player and target portraits at full visibility when your health or current resource falls to your chosen percentage. Enable either condition or both, with separate threshold sliders. The portraits return to their normal fade level after recovery.

You can also choose to:

Hold RT or LT to reveal enabled fade groups.

Reveal fade groups automatically while bags or the Spellbook are open.

Choose what stays hidden

Optional toggles let you hide chat, the quest tracker, the minimap and player location cursor, the XP bar, buffs and debuffs, tooltips, floating combat numbers, and the controller’s center crosshair dot.

Hidden chat returns while typing. Hidden tooltips return when an interface window—such as bags or professions—is open, so you can still inspect items and use menus.

Make it yours

Configure everything under Settings → AddOns → Fader GP, with dedicated pages for general controls, gamepad behavior, action bars, button prompts, and character/target health bars. Settings are saved per character.

Fader GP applies its visibility controls only while the gamepad UI is active and restores managed elements when that mode is inactive.
