EyeOn Battle!

See exactly where your XP comes from, and what's trying to kill you along the way.

EyeOn Battle! is a leveling companion that keeps a running count of the XP you still need and logs every XP gain, fight and death as you level. Look back at any level and see which kills, quests and areas gave you the most XP, which enemies hurt you most, how your pet pulled its weight, and what happened right before each death.

Which version of the game does what

Newer clients restrict the combat log from addons, which is what the combat statistics depend on. On Forever and Retail, EyeOn Battle! detects this automatically and runs as an XP tracker and log only. XP from every kill is still logged once, including kills your pet makes, and nothing is counted twice.

Features

Always-on XP tracker (all versions)

• A small draggable box shows the XP left to your next level and the percentage remaining. Click it to open the full log.

Complete XP log, per level (all versions)

• Every XP gain is recorded with its time, zone and source: kills, quests, exploration and other.
• A level dropdown lets you view the log for any level you've played with the addon.
• The Summary tab breaks a level down by type and by source, and the Full log tab lists every gain newest first.

Search (all versions)

• Results update as you type and cover enemies, kills, quests, exploration and deaths. In Classic Era it also covers ability names. Typing several words narrows the results.
• Switch between searching just the selected level or all your levels. Rounded tags show what each result is.

Enemy and kill details (Classic Era)

• Click any enemy to see how many times you've killed it, the XP it gave you, how many times it killed you, and the damage it dealt.
• Every kill is its own record with its duration, zone, DPS, damage taken and damage dealt.
• Hit statistics include your hit chance (split into melee and skills) and the enemy's hit chance against you, with parries, dodges and blocks.
• Crits are tracked too, including your biggest crit, biggest regular hit, and an expandable list of every crit.
• The abilities that hurt you most are ranked with their share of the damage.

Pet tracking (Classic Era)

• A "Damage your pet dealt" section appears under your own damage, but only when your pet actually dealt damage. It has the same fields: total damage, DPS, hits landed, hit %, crits and biggest hits.
• Kills made by your pet still count as kills, and are marked with a small light-blue rounded P after the enemy's name.

Death recaps (Classic Era for full detail)

• The Deaths tab lists your deaths, newest first. Click one to see the time, zone, killing blow, and every enemy that damaged you in the last 60 seconds.

Clean, flat interface

• Dark minimal theme with color coding: green for good, red for bad, gold for crits.
• You can resize the window vertically. Your window size and expanded or collapsed sections are remembered, and data is saved per character.

Commands

• /xpl, /xplog or /eyeon opens or closes the log
• /xpl hud shows or hides the XP box
• /xpl reset clears that character's data (it asks you to confirm first)

Good to know

• It tracks from the moment you install it, so it can't see XP or fights from before then.
• Damage and hit statistics only count fights since you installed the version that added them.
• Pet damage and the P tag only appear on clients that give addons the combat log.
• It reads English-language combat and XP messages.
• Built for WoW Classic Era and the WoW Forever beta.
