ESKA Labs — Voice Alerts for Mythic+

Clear English voice alerts for Mythic+ mechanics — including the ones nobody else announces.

Since Midnight (12.0), Blizzard blocked the combat log for addons and made spell identities "secret values". Most addons went quiet on many mechanics. ESKA Labs takes a different route: it reads the timers that DBM still resolves, looks them up in its own curated database of 260+ Season 2 dungeon mechanics, and announces each one with a natural-sounding English voice — a configurable lead time before the hit, not after it.

What it does

• Boss alerts for all eight Season 2 dungeons: interrupts, soaks, frontals, spreads, defensives, fixates — including ~30 mechanics that DBM shows only as a silent bar and never announces.
• Trash alerts (with EXBoss installed): kicks, frontals and dispels on trash and adds.
• 59 voice lines, recorded specifically for this addon (ElevenLabs, licensed). No robot voice, no clipped TTS.
• Per-mechanic control: every single alert can be disabled or assigned a different voice line via dropdown — search by boss, dungeon or spell ID.
• One voice, no chaos: on first launch a setup wizard offers to mute DBM's own warning sounds and hide its bars. DBM keeps running as the detection engine and its on-screen text warnings stay visible as a safety net. Every change is verified by reading the values back — and reversible at any time.
• Volume control up to 200%, independent of game and music volume.
• Standalone, movable, scalable settings window — no digging through the Blizzard options menu.

Dependencies

• DBM (Deadly Boss Mods) — required. DBM resolves the boss timeline; without it there are no boss alerts.
• EXBoss (Exwind suite) — optional. Adds trash/add detection. If installed, the setup wizard can import the author's curated trash database (270+ entries for all S2 dungeons) into your EXBoss — your own entries are never overwritten. Note: EXBoss currently has its own 12.1 issues that are unrelated to this addon.
• LibSharedMedia-3.0 (bundled with most UIs). The voice pack also registers in LSM as "ESKA Labs (EN)", so you can use it in other addons too.

How to use

• /eskaui or /eska — open the settings window
• /eska einrichtung — re-run the setup wizard
• /eska status — current state of all modules (chat)
• /eska vorlauf 1.5 — set the alert lead time in seconds
• /eska dbmton / /eska dbmbalken — toggle DBM sounds / bars

Everything in the settings window works by click; the slash commands are shortcuts to the same functions.

Honest fine print

Early access, built and tested in Midnight Season 2 Mythic+. The settings UI is currently German; voice lines are English. Alert coverage comes from a curated database — if you find a mechanic that is missing or announces the wrong call, report it (spell ID if possible): the addon keeps a built-in log of every unknown timer it sees, so gaps close fast.
