# Enemy Count
**Know the odds before you engage.** Enemy Count puts two small boxes on your screen that show how many enemy and allied players are near you, live.
## Features
- **Live enemy count:** see how many enemy players are around you right now.
- **Live ally count:** see how many players from your own faction are nearby.
- **Threat colors:** the enemy number turns from green (0) to yellow (1), orange (2–4) and red (5+), so you can tell how dangerous it is at a glance.
- **No double counting:** each player is tracked by their unique ID, so nobody is counted twice.
- **30-second memory:** a player stays in the count for 30 seconds after you last saw them, so a rogue going into stealth or someone stepping behind a wall doesn't drop off the count.
- **Automatic reset:** counts start fresh when you change zones or go through a loading screen.
- **Smart filtering:** opposite-faction players you can't attack (War Mode off) are not counted.
- **Lightweight:** one small file, no libraries, almost no impact on performance.
- **Movable and resizable:** drag it anywhere, change its size, or lock it in place.
## Setup
Enemy Count reads players from nameplates, so **turn on enemy and friendly player nameplates** (default keys: `Ctrl+V` and `Shift+V`). It counts players within nameplate range, not the whole zone.
## Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| `/ec lock` | Lock or unlock the frame (drag to move when unlocked) |
| `/ec scale 1.2` | Change the size (0.5 to 3) |
| `/ec reset` | Reset position and size |
| `/ec clear` | Clear the current counts |
`/enemycount` works the same as `/ec`.
