Never miss another enchant request in chat.

Enchanter is a lightweight World of Warcraft Classic Era addon for players offering enchanting services. It watches chat for players looking for an enchanter, intelligently matches their requests against the recipes you actually know, and helps automate the repetitive parts of responding, inviting, providing material requirements, and tracking completed work.

Built specifically for WoW Classic Era 1.15.9.

Features

🔍 Smart Enchant Request Detection

Enchanter monitors supported chat channels for players looking for enchanting services.

It can recognize:

• Generic requests such as "LF Enchanter"
• Specific enchant requests such as "LF Enchanter Fiery"
• Multiple enchants in the same message
• Common abbreviations and alternative enchant names
• Configurable custom aliases for every enchant

When someone is simply looking for an enchanter, Enchanter can automatically whisper:

"What do you need?"

If they reply with an enchant you know, Enchanter can recognize the request and continue the interaction.

✨ Recipe Scanning

Use /ec scan or Shift + Left Click the minimap button to scan your Enchanting profession.

Enchanter stores the recipes you know, so you don't need to scan every time you log in. Scan again whenever you learn new recipes.

Only your actually known recipes are offered to players.

💬 Intelligent Automatic Whispers

When Enchanter recognizes an enchant you know, it can automatically respond to the player.

Responses can include:

• The requested enchant
• Required enchanting materials
• Clickable material item links
• Multiple matching enchants
• Automatic group invitation

If you don't know the requested enchant, Enchanter leaves the conversation to you rather than sending potentially incorrect automated replies.

📦 Material Requirements

Enchanter stores the material requirements discovered from your profession window.

When a player asks for an enchant you know, the addon can send them the materials they need using clickable WoW item links rather than plain text.

🏷️ Custom Enchant Aliases

Enchant matching supports extensive aliases and abbreviations.

Examples include variations such as:

• +3 stats
• 3 stats
• agi
• stam
• str
• hp
• boots / boot
• bracer / wrist
• weapon / wep
• 2h / two hand

Aliases can be customized from the options panel.

Addon updates merge new default aliases without deleting aliases you've added yourself.

📨 Optional Auto Invite

When a valid enchant request is recognized, Enchanter can automatically invite the customer to your group.

Configurable response delays are available so whispers and invitations don't fire unnaturally fast.

🛑 Smart Anti-Spam & Rejection Cooldowns

Enchanter prevents repeatedly whispering the same player when they continue advertising for an enchanter.

You can also configure manual rejection phrases such as:

"sorry i dont have that"

Sending one of these phrases applies a longer cooldown to that player so Enchanter doesn't immediately contact them again.

📖 Enchanter Journal — New in 1.6.8

Enchanter now includes a full in-game Enchanting Journal for your completed work.

The Journal records up to your latest 1,000 completed enchant trades, including:

Date & Time • Player • Enchant • Gold Made

Player names are displayed using their WoW class colour when their class is available.

Both tipped and free enchants are recorded:

• Customer tips 10g → 10g recorded
• Customer tips 50s → 50s recorded
• Customer doesn't tip → 0c recorded

Old entries are automatically pruned after 1,000 trades to prevent SavedVariables from growing indefinitely.

to open the Journal.

💰 Earnings & Trade Tracking

Enchanter tracks your enchanting activity across sessions.

This includes:

• Current session earnings
• Lifetime earnings
• Completed trade history
• Enchants performed
• Customer information

Lifetime totals are maintained separately from the 1,000-entry Journal, so pruning old Journal entries doesn't erase your long-term statistics.

for a quick earnings summary.

🗺️ Minimap Button

Enchanter includes a proper draggable minimap button with quick access to its major functions.

Left Click — Start/Stop listening
Middle Click — Open Enchanter Journal
Right Click — Open Options
Shift + Left Click — Scan enchanting recipes

The tooltip also displays the addon's current status and recipe information.

🔄 Persistent Listening

Your listening state is remembered between sessions.

If you log out while Enchanter is enabled, it automatically resumes listening the next time you log in.

When logging into your character with monitoring enabled, Enchanter confirms:

Enchanter: Enabled and listening for enchanting requests.

If you deliberately stopped Enchanter before logging out, it remains stopped.

Getting Started

1. Log into your Enchanter.
2. Open your Enchanting profession.
3. Run /ec scan.
4. Run /ec start.
5. Enchanter can now monitor chat while you play.

You only need to scan again after learning additional enchanting recipes.

This version is focused on Classic Era and does not include irrelevant TBC enchant data.
