EllipseEclipse
Combat related information display for Balance Druids. By request, I uploaded an AddOn I have been using privately only, and never really intended to release. If there is sufficient interest, I will consider continuing development. It is currently tailored to my own needs, but I added the most basic customization options.
Features
- Displays the current Balance Energy, visualized by a dot moving in a circular motion.
- Lunar peak is at the top of the circle, and Solar peak is at the bottom.
- Displays current spell cast time, visualized by showing a coloring segment of the ring.
- "/ellipseeclipse" or "/ee" to move or resize.
Known Issues
- The AddOn keeps track of Balance Energy using custom methods that relies on an event that fires when the Eclipse flow changes direction. Tracking Balance Energy in this manner is necessary for the dot to move smoothly, considering the function that returns Balance Energy returns integer instead of floating point values.
- Currently, that specific event is firing at inappropriate times (it fires for all balance druids in the vicinity when one druid's Eclipse flow direction changes), which is a fault on Blizzard's end. I have done what I can to safeguard against severe misrepresentations of information by also checking that the Balance Energy is at an expected level (-100 at lunar peak and 100 at solar peak) when Eclipse flow direction changes, and so it should never be off by a notable amount in combat.
