# Totem Nameplates for EllesmereUI

Totem Nameplates for EllesmereUI is an unofficial standalone companion addon that replaces Shaman totem nameplates with clean, configurable spell icons.

Enemy and optionally friendly totems can be displayed as icons only, removing the health bar, name and level from the nameplate. Important totems can use the same customizable glow styles available throughout EllesmereUI.

## Configuration

Open the EllesmereUI settings window and select:

**Totem Nameplates → Totem Nameplates**

You can also open the page with:

- `/eut`
- `/euitotems`

## Nameplate requirements

WoW must create a nameplate before the addon can place an icon on it.

- Enemy Unit Nameplates must be enabled for enemy totems.
- Friendly Player Nameplates must be enabled when using **Show on Friendly Totems**.
- The addon enables WoW's friendly-player-totem nameplate setting when friendly totems are enabled.

## Compatibility

- World of Warcraft: Forever 1.60.1
- Interface version 16001
- EllesmereUI 9.3.6 or newer
- Tested with EllesmereUI 9.4

This release is intended for WoW: Forever. Retail interface metadata is present in the addon, but the initial CurseForge release has only been validated on Forever.

## Installation

### CurseForge

Install the addon through the CurseForge app. EllesmereUI should be installed automatically as a required dependency.

### Manual installation

1. Extract the `EllesmereUITotems` folder.
2. Copy it to `World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/`.
3. Make sure EllesmereUI is installed and enabled.
4. Restart the game or type `/reload`.

## Feedback

When reporting an issue, please include:

- Your WoW version
- Your EllesmereUI version
- Whether the totem was friendly or hostile
- The name of the affected totem
- A screenshot of the nameplate and addon settings
