What's new

2.5.1 (October 15, 2026)

Changed

  • Goals count your bank too. A goal's progress is now what's in your bags plus what's in your bank, with an In bank column beside Have. The game only knows your bank once you've opened it, so the Almanac saves what's in the bank each time you open it, and keeps that up to date as you deposit and withdraw while it's open. Goals then count it anywhere, even after a relog. The Goals page says when the bank was last seen, or asks you to open it once if it hasn't been. Moving items between your bags and the bank doesn't set off the goal alert a second time. An item's own page in the Almanac view also says how many are in your bags and how many are in the bank.

Fixed

  • Group > Diary said you played together with people who were nowhere near you. Being in the same party was taken to mean being together, so a group where each of you played in a different zone was written up as "You grouped up in Loch Modan with ..." and "Together you killed ...". Every 15 seconds the Almanac now checks which group members are in sight (about 100 yards), and where the others are. The diary counts someone as with you only if they were in sight for a fair part of the group's time. Otherwise it says so: "You were in a group with Hiken Dan for 40 minutes, but you weren't playing together: you were in Loch Modan. Hiken Dan was off in Dun Morogh." Kills split into those made with a group member in sight and those made on your own, and loot reads "You looted" when no one was with you. The Kills page's With column and the Journal's "who you were with" use the same check. Groups recorded before this fix have no record of who was near, so they read as before.
  • The level-up card stayed up in combat. It now fades out within a quarter of a second when a fight starts, and its clock stops. When the fight ends it fades back in for the time it had left. If you level mid-fight, it waits until the fight is over.
  • Almanac view: green and white item links were hard to read on the parchment. This client colours item links with quality tags rather than colour codes, and the book's ink pass only knew colour codes, so those links kept their bright screen colours. Quality tags are now inked too: uncommon in deep green, common in the page's ink, poor in grey, and rare, epic and legendary in deep blue, purple and orange.
