DPS Report Changelog
====================
V1.21
Fixed:
- Feign Death was being counted as a death. A hunter who never died could show
six deaths on the meter and in the end-of-run announce. The game's own damage
meter flags a feigning hunter as dead and records it, and nothing in that data
separates the two afterwards, so deaths are no longer read from it. The addon
now watches each group member directly and counts real deaths itself -- a
feigning hunter reads as alive, so feigns simply never enter the count. This
works while the key is running, not just once it finishes.
Where it cannot vouch for its own count -- if you log in or reload partway
through a key, so it missed the earlier part -- it falls back to the game's
number rather than reporting a total it knows is short. In that case
Blizzard's own key death counter is used to check whether anything was
actually missed, so a reload before anyone has died costs you nothing.
- Pets were competing for the run summary awards. A mage's water elemental
takes no avoidable damage, so it won "Least Avoidable DMG" outright, and pets
could place in the damage rankings and skew the MVP score. Awards now cover
party members only. The live meters still show pet damage as before -- this
affects the end-of-run announce, not what you see during the fight.
- Deaths reports sent to chat listed one line per death event, every one of them
reading zero, with names repeated. They now report a count per player, the
same way the meter does.
New:
- "Death Tracking Diagnostics" button under Tools. Prints, to your own chat
frame only, which group members the addon can read death state for and how
many deaths it has counted for each, next to the game's own total for the key.
Useful if a death count ever looks wrong and you want to see why.
