What's new

v3.1 - The Professionalism Initiative

Management attended a UI seminar. These are the results.

Fixed

  • Active tabs no longer render grayed out. The tab you are on previously looked like the tab you were forbidden from clicking. HR received several complaints. All were valid.
  • The Options button no longer overlaps the close button in the corner. They have been separated and given their own desks.

Interface

  • The hub now uses the native dark frame style with proper bottom-anchored tabs, matching the rest of the game's interface instead of impersonating a system popup.
  • One consistent color palette across every tab. The previous approach was described in the audit as "vibes."
  • Board cards now show a colored edge strip by category for faster scanning.
  • Compact timestamps everywhere ("2h ago"), and one consistent info-line format across all five tabs.
  • Section headers no longer dress up as content. Standings are compact rows.

Quality of life

  • The message field is now a real multi-line text box with a character counter. Composing a post no longer feels like writing a memo through a mail slot. Enter submits.
  • Deleting a post now asks for confirmation. Deletes are permanent and guild-wide; the X button no longer operates on the honor system.
  • Clicking a notification toast now opens the hub directly to the relevant tab.
  • Toasts moved out of the top-center lane so they stop fighting raid warnings for your attention.
  • Items posted since your last visit are marked NEW.
  • On Events, your signed-up role button now reads "Leave" instead of subtly changing color and hoping you'd notice.
  • Settings gained a window scale slider, and the Options button is now a gear icon like a civilized interface.

No sync or protocol changes - v3.1 talks to v3.0 clients without issue, but update anyway. Corporate is watching the adoption numbers.
