Small window will appear when /dnsetname is typed in the chat. Accept button will be greyed out if the textbox is empty or the same as current display name
As you can see, it works fine but only for yourself. Everyone else still sees your actual character name.

Want to change your character name to be displayed as something else than your character name?
I saw this one addon but it hasn't been updated for a long time so I decided I'd try to do one myself and this is my first addon ever.
I did find some useful info and code lines somewhere on the internet but I can't remember where.
This addon is useful for videos/streaming if you don't want to show you actual character name but still want to do content.

This addon does not support other UnitFrame addons (at least what I know of)
UI will be reloaded if:
- New name is set
- AddOn will be activated/deactivated via chat command.
- Only you can see the custom display name
/dnhelp - show all commands in case you have forgotten them.
/dnsetname - To set the name (will reload UI when accepted).
/dncheck - Check whether the addon is active or not
/dnactive - Use custom display name (will reload UI).
/dninactive - Use actual character name (will reload UI).
/dnwe - Enable welcome message
/dnwd - Disable welcome message
