Default Nameplates Threat Meter

Colors default Blizzard nameplate healthbars by your threat percentage. WotLK 3.3.5a.

Lightweight threat addon for WoW 3.3.5a (WotLK). Recolors the default Blizzard nameplates and adds a threat bar to the
target frame based on your threat percentage — no custom nameplate replacement, it paints the stock UI.

  Features

  - Nameplate threat coloring: Red → orange → yellow → green gradient based on your threat %. Shows the numeric % on
   each plate.
  - Target frame threat bar: Thin threat bar + % under the default target frame's healthbar. Displays "TANKING XX%"
  when you hold aggro.
  - Auto-cleanup: Overlays hide out of combat.

  Color meaning

  - Red: under 50% (safe for DPS)
  - Orange: 50–80%
  - Yellow: 80–100% (DPS slow down)
  - Yellow-green: pulling off the tank (100%+ as non-tank)
  - Green (tanking): solid once you lock 100%

  Slash commands

  - `/tt` — show options
  - `/tt target` — toggle target threat bar
  - `/tt plates` — toggle nameplate coloring
  - `/tt percent` — toggle % text on plates
  - `/tt debug` — print diagnostic info for the current target

  Settings persist per-character (`defaultNameplatesThreatDB`).

  Install

Extract the `defaultNameplatesThreat` folder into `World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\` and enable at character
select. Requires default nameplates enabled in-game (default key `V`).

  Notes

  - Threat data only shows for units the client has a unit ID for (target, focus, mouseover, boss1-4, party/raid
targets, pets). Other plates keep their normal color.
  - Not compatible with custom nameplate replacements (TidyPlates, Aloft, Kui, etc.).
