What's new
Decursive 12.1 Compatibility Patch - Changelog
v10.37
PvP Mode Chat Transitions
- Added chat/output notifications when Decursive enters or leaves PvP protected-aura mode.
- Added transition messages:
Decursive: PvP protected-aura mode ENABLEDDecursive: PvP protected-aura mode DISABLED
- Messages are only printed when the effective mode actually changes.
- Prevents repeated zone events from spamming the same message.
- Uses Decursive's existing output path so current chat/custom-frame output settings are respected.
- Manual changes between:
- Automatic
- Always On
- Always Off can also announce a transition when the effective PvP mode changes.
v10.36
PvP Restricted Aura Mode
- Added a dedicated PvP protected-aura mode for WoW 12.1.
- Added a new configuration option:
- Automatic (Battlegrounds / Arenas)
- Always On
- Always Off
- Default mode is Automatic.
- Automatic mode enables restricted PvP handling when WoW reports the instance type as:
pvparena
- Added mode refresh handling for entering/leaving PvP instances.
- While PvP restricted mode is active:
- Legacy Decursive debuff coloring is suppressed.
- Blizzard-managed strict priority indicators become the live affliction-color authority.
- Priority #1 only displays for cure types mapped to Priority #1.
- Priority #2 only displays for cure types mapped to Priority #2.
- Priority #3 follows the same model when configured.
- No generic protected-aura fallback to Priority #1/red.
- Protected aura details are not directly inspected by addon Lua.
- Updated tooltip/status behavior for PvP restricted mode to avoid misleading legacy aura interpretation.
- Designed to reduce false positive red squares caused by protected PvP aura state.
v10.35
Strict Priority Filtering
- Reworked managed aura filtering so each priority only lights for the dispel types actually assigned to that priority.
- Removed fallback behavior where protected or generally dispellable auras could incorrectly appear as Priority #1/red.
- Priority filtering now follows Decursive's configured cure assignments.
- A protected aura that does not match a configured cure priority remains unlit instead of defaulting to red.
- Removed the broader managed priority-curve fallback from the live color path.
- Preserved Blizzard-managed protected aura handling without adding legacy aura scanning.
v10.34
Cure Range Fix
- Fixed the out-of-range color state not reliably appearing.
- Replaced generic
UnitInRange()-only logic with checks based on Decursive's actual configured cure spells. - A unit is treated as out of range when the relevant cure spell cannot reach that unit.
- Raised the Decursive-owned range overlay above the managed priority fill so the range state can visibly override the priority color.
- Preserved protected aura handling and avoided modifying Blizzard-managed aura buttons.
v10.33
Yellow Out-of-Range Default
- Changed the default out-of-range overlay color to yellow.
- Preserved all configurable range settings.
- Resetting the out-of-range color now restores yellow.
- Existing saved custom colors remain unchanged until reset.
v10.32
Configurable Out-of-Range Dimming
- Added configurable out-of-range visual settings under:
- Micro Unit Frame Settings -> Display Options
- Added:
- Dim MUFs when out of range
- Out-of-range dim amount
- Out-of-range overlay color
- Reset out-of-range color
- Implemented the range visual with Decursive-owned overlay frames.
- Did not modify Blizzard-managed aura objects.
- Initial default used a dark overlay before changing to yellow in v10.33.
v10.31
Protected Aura Yellow
- Changed the protected-state tooltip color to yellow.
- Protected-state tooltip wording remains:
- Aura state protected (WoW 12.1)
- No changes to curing, priority detection, or cooldown behavior.
v10.30
Protected Aura Purple
- Changed the protected-state tooltip color to a distinct purple/magenta.
- Used a unique protected-state color to separate it from normal status text and priority colors.
- This color was later changed to yellow in v10.31.
v10.29
Protected Aura Tooltip Fix
- Fixed misleading tooltip behavior where WoW 12.1 protected aura states could still display:
- Normal
- Replaced the misleading legacy status with:
- Aura state protected (WoW 12.1)
- Prevents Decursive from claiming a unit is normal when Blizzard-managed aura handling may still indicate a protected dispellable state.
- Left priority-color and cooldown behavior unchanged.
v10.28
Shared Priority Timer Fix
- Fixed the shared cooldown timer not appearing on other afflicted MUFs.
- Removed reliance on reading
AuraSlot:IsShown()from Blizzard-managed aura objects. - Reworked the shared cooldown display to use Blizzard-supported duration binding behavior.
- Added
DurationTextBindingfor the shared white countdown text. - Continued using Blizzard engine-side priority filtering.
- Preserved:
- Cleansed target clears its priority visual.
- Cleansed target does not keep a stale faded cooldown square.
- Other afflicted MUFs using the same priority can show the shared cooldown state.
- Different-priority MUFs remain unchanged.
- Clean MUFs remain unchanged.
Current PvP Behavior
Automatic Mode
When PvP protected-aura mode is set to Automatic, Decursive enables the restricted path in:
- Battlegrounds
- Arenas
and disables it outside those PvP instance types.
Restricted PvP Rules
While restricted mode is active:
- Blizzard-managed strict priority filtering controls the live affliction indication.
- Legacy Decursive aura coloring does not override the managed state.
- No generic protected aura is allowed to fall back to Priority #1/red.
- Exact protected aura details are not read directly by addon Lua.
- Tooltip/status text avoids claiming the aura is normal when the state is protected.
Chat Notifications
When the effective PvP mode changes, Decursive reports:
Decursive: PvP protected-aura mode ENABLED
or:
Decursive: PvP protected-aura mode DISABLED
These messages only print on actual state changes.
