Description

A semi-automated deathroll assistant for World of Warcraft.

What is DeathRoll?

Deathroll is a game where players take turns rolling, using the previous result as the new roll. The first player to roll a 1 loses.

DeathRoll is a lightweight addon that watches chat for roll results, works out whose turn it is, and puts the correct /roll command on a button you can click to send the roll automatically. DeathRoll also has a toggleable auto mode that automatically replies your roll response without needing to press the roll button, as well as a multiplayer Mayhem mode for groups to play together.

Features

Roll Detection Reads chat and automatically identifies valid rolls. Filters out bare /roll commands (1–100) so things like loot rolls won't interfere.

One-Click Rolling When your opponent rolls, the main button updates instantly with the correct /roll N value. Removes the need to type!

Auto Mode Fully automatic rolling. After each opponent roll is detected, the addon auto rolls the reply.

Mayhem Mode For group play. When enabled, Mayhem picks a random wait between 0.2 and 0.5 seconds before rolling every roll, whoever gets the shortest delay gets automatically rolled. The roll chain bounces unpredictably between players.

See the Mayhem section below for how to run group DeathRoll.

Solo Mode Switches tracking to follow your own rolls. You roll against yourself!

Minimap Button A minimap button to quickly access the addon.

Mayhem Mode: Group Deathroll

Mayhem mode was designed for groups to deathroll all together, when you don't want to just 1v1.

  1. Every participant installs the addon and opens it with /dr
  2. Everyone enables Auto Mode and ticks the Mayhem checkbox.
  3. One player sets the starting roll value and clicks Start!
  4. From that point on, every player's addon attempts to reply automatically every roll. A random delay on each auto roll means a different person fires each round unpredictably.
  5. The chain continues until someone rolls a 1. That player loses.

Usage

/dr or /deathroll toggles the addon window.

Reset button clears game state in case a game isn't resolved.

Notes

  • The addon will never respond to its own rolls in normal mode, meaning there's a back-and-forth turn order.
  • Rolls using the default /roll range (1–100) are ignored unless a game is already in progress.

Compatibility

  • World of Warcraft: Midnight — Patch 12.0.1
  • No dependencies or external libraries required
