DeathRoast

DeathRoast turns every defeat into a joke.

A lightweight comedy addon for World of Warcraft: Midnight (Retail), featuring Russian death jokes and silly fart sounds.

Features
• 60 Russian jokes with no consecutive repeats.
• Four randomly selected fart sounds.
• A central message showing your character’s name, a joke and your session death count.
• Messages stay visible for 5 seconds, then fade out over 2 seconds.
• Automatic humorous chat announcements when your character dies.

Chat behavior
• Party: sends the announcement to party chat.
• Raid: sends the announcement to raid chat.
• Dungeon Finder, Raid Finder and battleground groups: uses instance chat.
• Solo: displays the message only in your own chat window.

Only you hear the sounds and see the central overlay. Other players can read group announcements without installing the addon. Jokes are random and do not describe the actual cause of death.

Commands
/deathroast test — preview a joke and sound locally without sending a group message or increasing the counter.
/deathroast reset — reset the counter, hide the message and stop the sound.
/deathroast — display help and your current death count.

Language and settings
All jokes and in-game messages are in Russian. Enable Sound Effects (SFX) to hear the audio. The death counter resets when you log in or reload the interface.

Installation
Extract the DeathRoast folder into World of Warcraft/retail/Interface/AddOns/, restart the game and enable the addon. No additional addons are required.

Version 0.4 targets Midnight Retail. In-game validation is still pending.
