DB Compass

Note: Blizzard restricts heading and position APIs in some instanced content, including some dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, and arenas. In those areas, DB Compass may enter limited mode and show -- when live heading data is unavailable.

DB Compass is a lightweight fixed HUD compass for World of Warcraft Retail.

It displays a clean top-center compass based on your character’s facing direction, with cardinal and intercardinal labels for quick orientation. Party members are shown as class icons when their position data is available, making it easier to track where your group is relative to you.

When a party member is online but outside your current coordinate space, DB Compass does not guess their direction. Instead, it shows a dim non-directional badge below the compass with zone information in the tooltip.

Commands:

- /dbc - show help
- /dbc show - show the compass
- /dbc hide - hide the compass
- /dbc unlock - allow dragging the compass
- /dbc lock - lock and save the compass position
- /dbc scale 1.0 - set compass scale from 0.7 to 1.4
- /dbc reset - reset visibility, scale, and position

Notes:

- Directional party markers only appear when Blizzard unit position data is available in the same coordinate space.
- Off-zone badges are informational only and are not directional markers.
- This beta is intended for WoW Retail.
