Description
Custodian
Custodian is a build-it-yourself HUD for keeping up with the things every spec is supposed to maintain — resources, buffs, imbues, cooldowns, and all the little upkeep chores. Instead of a fixed layout, you add exactly the bars and icons you want, bind each one to whatever it should watch, and drag them together into groups you can move as one.
Resource bars
Every class and power type gets a live bar — mana, rage, combo points, runes, Maelstrom, and the rest. Point-based resources (combo points, runes, essence…) draw as clean segmented boxes. It also handles a few "special" resources that aren't normal power bars: the Devourer Demon Hunter's Void Metamorphosis pool or Enhancement's Maelstrom Weapon stacks get their own bars that fill and glow the way the mechanic actually behaves.
Reminders
Any widget can be a reminder — hidden until it matters, then it appears (and can pulse or ping). Missing a weapon imbue or oil? A poison? An Earth Shield on you or an ally? Out of the right form? Custodian nudges you. And since some buffs go hidden from addons in combat, those are checked before the pull and held quietly mid-fight instead of nagging about something it can no longer see.
Manual trackers
A handful of stacks simply can't be read by addons at all. For those, Custodian estimates by watching your casts — a builder adds one, a spender removes one — powering counters for things like the Survival Hunter's Tip of the Spear and the Warrior's Improved Whirlwind. It's right in the common case and resets out of combat, so treat it as a helpful guide, not gospel.
Make it yours
Recolour bars as they fill (and ping at a threshold), pick fonts and textures, align and group widgets, and share any setup as an import/export string. There's a bundled texture and sound pack, text-to-speech, and a movable minimap button.
A few honest notes
This is a hobby project, and this is its very first public version — expect the occasional rough edge or bug.
There's plenty more planned. If something breaks, reads wrong, or you've got an idea, I'd genuinely love to hear it.
