1.7.1 – 17.10.2026 – MAINTENANCE: client 1.60.1 (70450)
- Update current client metadata in the addon and documentation to WoW Forever 1.60.1 (70450), Release x64, build date Oct 15 2026, as shown in the supplied screenshot.
- Record the user's gameplay feedback: all functions they observed were working on the new client. This is a scoped user report, not a new full verification of every class, talent, optional function or unavailable-unit case. Earlier detailed 70425 and 70374 evidence retains its original client reference.
- Base this maintenance package on the exact delivered 1.7.0. No runtime behavior, layout, spell catalogue, saved-data schema or default changes. Keep all eight companion modules, tests and media byte-identical; only version/client metadata, release history and documentation change.
- All 344 existing local checks pass (207 behavior, 137 maintenance); nine runtime modules compile. Validate the final ZIP and its extracted files. CurseForge feature Markdown stays separate and changes only its addon version.

1.7.0 – 16.10.2026 – RELEASE: compact Matrix, refined Standard and corrected Curse Watcher
- Promote the exact delivered 1.7.0-beta6 to a release; runtime behavior is unchanged during release preparation. Standard remains the default. The optional action suggestions remain EXPERIMENTAL, off on a fresh installation and limited to their existing three-DoT model with unlimited enemy lifetime.
- Add the Matrix view alongside Standard: shared main-effect symbols above fixed columns, per-enemy native remaining times, compact portraits, health inside the bar and Execute swords at the portrait. Support up to eight selected main families across all nine class catalogues, including the selectable Wrack family. Without suggestions, Matrix uses 38-unit row steps and a 22-unit shared heading; suggestions retain their 70-unit space.
- Narrow Standard through the agreed portrait and separator spacing. In both views, show up to four additional effects in two rows of two, separately from the portrait curse and main effects. Standard keeps times below these icons; Matrix puts them beside the icons. Existing main icon and time-font sizes remain unchanged in Standard.
- Preserve the chosen view during live and retained aura updates, including portrait, divider and curse positions. Keep the complete Matrix curse/time and extra-effect footprints clear of the inner target border. Use separate native view caches; defer incompatible switches while offscreen effects are retained. TrackerTrace, DeathEvents, ExecuteIndicator, ExperimentalPlanner and ExperimentalPreview remain byte-identical to 1.6.2.
- Correct the personal Curse Watcher when an assigned curse is followed by another utility curse, including Recklessness. Invalidate the old estimate only for the unambiguously associated cast target; preserve the three assignment choices and keep Agony/Doom independent. Failed, ambiguous or unavailable associations do not guess a replacement. A readable matching aura can still confirm the assigned curse; cast completion itself is not hit confirmation.
- In-game evidence: the supplied beta6 video confirms two Weakness → Recklessness → Weakness cycles on one enemy, with the reminder hiding, returning and hiding again, followed by row cleanup at the shown death. The corrected Matrix border clearance was confirmed separately at the shown scale. These observations do not cover every rank, multiple-target association or unavailable-unit path.
- Current client reference: WoW Forever 1.60.1 (70425), Release x64, build date Oct 14 2026. All 344 local checks pass: 207 behavior and 137 maintenance cases; nine runtime modules compile. Preserve settings, spell filters and archives. Historical beta notes remain below; CurseForge feature Markdown stays outside the player ZIP.

1.7.0-beta6 – 16.10.2026 – BETA: invalidate stale Curse Watcher reminders on curse changes
- Reproduce the reported Weakness → Recklessness sequence on the exact delivered beta5: the warning remained hidden with the old Weakness timer at 120 seconds. The watcher only recognized its three assignable curse families and ignored Recklessness.
- Recognize the existing four utility-curse families and their known ranks independently of the three watcher choices. A completed competing curse invalidates the old personal estimate for its associated enemy. Keep Agony, Doom and unrelated effects independent; do not add new assignment choices or alter spell filters.
- Associate watcher attempts at SENT with an unambiguous readable enemy GUID. Match completion by cast and spell identity; keep later target changes from redirecting the update. Ignore missing, stale, ambiguous or protected associations and non-player attempts; discard failed/interrupted pending attempts. Keep this bookkeeping separate from Performance and action planning.
- Validate returned aura identity against the requested curse family on every lookup path. A readable matching aura can still hide the warning, including when a replacement attempt did not apply. An absent or unreadable result remains unconfirmed; cast completion is not hit confirmation.
- 344 local checks pass: 207 unchanged behavior cases and 137 maintenance cases, retaining the previous 128 and adding focused curse-change regressions. Nine runtime files compile. All eight companion runtime modules, artwork and existing Standard/Matrix geometry match beta5 byte for byte. The beta5 border fix is confirmed by the supplied in-game screenshot at the shown scale. This new watcher fix requires its own in-game check on 1.60.1 (70425). ZIP and extracted-source verification pass; CurseForge Markdown remains separate.

1.7.0-beta5 – 16.10.2026 – BETA: clear the inner Matrix target border
- Correct the remaining curse/countdown overlap shown by the user's beta4 screenshot. The target border occupies two units on each edge; beta4 reserved only one unit from the outer row boundary, allowing aura content to overpaint the gold line.
- Matrix without suggestions: increase row step from 34 to 38 and center from 16 to 18. Actual row height is 36; the 30-unit curse and extra-effect footprints occupy 3–33, leaving one unit of clear space inside each two-unit border. Keep icon/font sizes, horizontal geometry and the two-unit gap between rows.
- Runtime changes are confined to these two Matrix constants and their explanatory comment. Standard, Matrix with suggestions, aura initialization, tracking, retained rows, death handling, Execute and planning remain byte-for-byte unchanged apart from version/history metadata in the main file.
- 335 local checks pass: 207 behavior and 128 unchanged maintenance. The focused regression reads border thickness from textures created by the actual row factory and checks the inner edges for curse and four extras. It fails on the exact delivered beta4 and passes on beta5. Nine runtime modules compile. ZIP integrity and extracted-source checks pass; CurseForge Markdown remains separate. Native in-game confirmation of the corrected clearance is pending on client 1.60.1 (70425).

1.7.0-beta4 – 16.10.2026 – BETA: four extras and stable Matrix alignment
- Build from the exact delivered beta3 ZIP. Limit the fixed extra-effect area in both views to four symbols in two rows of two. Standard keeps its small symbols and times underneath in a 40-by-50 area; Matrix uses native times beside each symbol in a 96-by-30 area. Keep the portrait curse separate and up to eight selected main-effect families.
- Reproduce and correct beta3's Matrix geometry regression through a real retained UNIT_AURA path: partial aura updates could reapply Standard portrait, divider and curse positions until the next full layout. Apply the active view at the shared geometry boundary, including retained rows and Matrix recovery. Preserve the existing pure-Standard fallback.
- Give Matrix curse and extra-effect content one layout unit of inner space above and below. Rows without suggestions now use a 34-unit step instead of 32; rows with suggestions retain 70. Main timers, suggestion icons and Standard row heights retain their sizes.
- Keep separate native extra-effect displays for each view. Build both main and extra caches before committing a switch; preserve the working cache on failure. All native aura-widget access remains inside its initializer. Keep queued offscreen view changes and retained countdowns.
- The user's beta3 screenshots confirm compact readability and working raid symbols in the tested situations. The four-slot arrangement and corrected Matrix alignment need their own in-game check on client 1.60.1 (70425), Release x64, build Oct 14 2026.
- 334 local checks pass: 206 behavior and all 128 unchanged maintenance cases. Added checks cover actual partial aura updates, four-extra bounds, delayed initialization, atomic cache failure, offscreen retention and Matrix fallback restoration. All nine runtime modules compile. TrackerTrace, DeathEvents, ExecuteIndicator, ExperimentalPlanner, ExperimentalPreview, OptionsGrimoire and all artwork match beta3 byte for byte. ZIP integrity and extracted-source checks pass. CurseForge Markdown remains separate.

1.7.0-beta3 – 16.10.2026 – BETA: compact Matrix rows
- Build from the exact delivered 1.7.0-beta2 ZIP. Keep Standard geometry, native initialization, filters, offscreen retention, death cleanup, Execute detection and action planning.
- Reduce Matrix row step without suggestions from 44 to 32 units and shared heading from 30 to 22. Retain the 70-unit row when suggestions are enabled, including all existing preview icons, labels, times and correction controls.
- Use a 24-unit portrait, 18-unit shared heading icons and 28-unit time-column pitch. Keep the 11-unit main timer font, 70-unit health column, eight main slots and all eight 14-unit extra symbols with their separate 8-unit times.
- Put absolute health inside an 18-unit health bar using an addon-owned text layer. Percentage and unavailable-health displays retain two distinct text lines. Health display mode changes reflow immediately without inspecting displayed values or geometry.
- Show the existing Execute swords at the portrait; keep its thresholds and protected alpha forwarding unchanged. Restore text parents, heights, raid-marker size, Execute label and icon anchor when returning to Standard. Native aura widgets remain confined to initializeFrame.
- Preserve the full native utility-curse time footprint with four-unit horizontal clearances. The native extra-effect row remains 160 by 24 units.
- The user's beta2 screenshots show both views working with multiple enemies. This compact layout needs its own in-game check on client 1.60.1 (70425), Release x64, build Oct 14 2026.
- 331 local checks pass: 203 behavior and 128 maintenance. New cases verify compact row bounds, full curse/extra times, both health modes and repeated Standard restoration, including Execute and raid markers. Strict protected native initialization checks remain. All nine runtime modules compile; six non-layout modules and all artwork match beta2 byte for byte. ZIP integrity and extracted-source checks pass.

1.7.0-beta2 – 16.10.2026 – BETA: protect Standard and Matrix initialization
- Correct beta1's regression: post-initialization reads of native AuraButton fields triggered the unavailable-layout path, producing tall rows, large utility curses and an ineffective Matrix selection.
- Keep the verified 1.6.2 Standard aura-button initializer intact. Initialize Matrix symbols and native timers completely inside their permitted callback. Do not store or revisit native button or child references after that callback.
- Keep separate native fixed displays for Standard and Matrix. Reposition addon-owned anchors only; preserve the existing filters, portrait curse, two-by-four Standard extras and smaller Standard spacing.
- Queue view switches while any offscreen row retains its native display, including fixed Standard to Matrix. Isolate Matrix initialization and later configuration errors from Standard. Reflow all affected live rows once; retain Matrix headings and geometry while any offscreen Matrix row needs them, and queue Standard until safe. Failed live aura areas remain unknown instead of mixing presentations. The selector reports the actual or queued view.
- Add a cold-initialization regression with native buttons and descendants locked immediately after initializeFrame. The unchanged 1.6.2 passes; beta1 reproduces the forbidden field read. This boundary was missing from beta1's geometry mocks.
- 329 local checks: 201 behavior and 128 maintenance. Nine runtime files compile. TrackerTrace, DeathEvents, ExecuteIndicator, ExperimentalPlanner and ExperimentalPreview remain byte-identical to 1.6.2. The corrected native display still requires an in-game check on 1.60.1 (70425).

1.7.0-beta1 – 16.10.2026 – BETA: Matrix view and narrower Standard
- Add Combat display > View: Standard / Matrix in both languages and FULL/minimal options designs. Standard remains the default. The saved view is independent of the retained portrait-layout key and of the options-window design; move the explanation below the new action.
- Matrix uses up to eight selected main-effect families in fixed columns, with shared symbols above each 20-enemy column even when the window title is hidden. Retain Standard's saved Expiration/Fixed slots preference. No selected main effect falls back to Standard.
- Keep native aura assignment and remaining-time objects. Show native times per enemy and a small active-slot gold mark, including permanent effects without countdowns. Read no aura contents, native timer text or native visibility for geometry; calculate no replacement times. Extra effects remain capped at eight: one 160-by-24 horizontal area with 14-unit symbols and separate 8-unit time text in Matrix; Standard's two-by-four area is unchanged.
- Matrix row steps are 44 without suggestions and 70 with them. Standard keeps 60/110 for one/two main lines without suggestions and 70/120 with them. The Matrix trades width for height. Keep all nine class catalogues configurable and the eight-family limit. Add Wrack 1316697 from the existing Performance profile to display/filter choices, allowing Corruption, Agony, Immolate, Wrack and Siphon Life together. The experimental three-DoT preview is not extended.
- Narrow Standard without shrinking main icons, fonts or the 70-unit health area. Move the portrait to five instead of 13/17 units. Reserve 28 units for the curse's native time and use equal visible four-unit gaps around the one-unit gold divider. With portrait curses, one-to-four-slot rows save 18 units of width; five-to-eight-slot rows save ten.
- Queue an incompatible Standard expiration-order/Matrix switch while offscreen rows retain their native display. Keep the current view and objects; switch once safe or at combat end. Clicking the view action again cancels the request. The request itself does not clear or rebind retained countdowns.
- TrackerTrace.lua, DeathEvents.lua, ExecuteIndicator.lua, ExperimentalPlanner.lua and ExperimentalPreview.lua are byte-identical to 1.6.2. Preserve identity, death, Execute, filters, archives and cast decisions. Earlier release-history blocks remain unchanged.
- 329 local cases pass: 201 behavior and 128 maintenance. Nine runtime files compile. Matrix coverage includes five/eight main families, eight extras, native duration ownership, permanent presence, delayed initialization, queued retained-view changes and real LayoutRows at 1, 2, 20, 21 and 40 enemies with headers and preview on/off, including both shared headings. Five maintenance cases are new; existing E08 follows the new selector and placement only.
- Reference client: 1.60.1 (70425), Release x64, Oct 14 2026. New-layout in-game validation remains pending; the version screenshot is not gameplay confirmation. CurseForge Markdown is separate from the ZIP, preserves logo/options-book images, and identifies the supplied tracker screenshot as Standard, not an actual Matrix client capture.
