Cursed Surges, without the headache

The Coiled Isle runs a Cursed Surge every 45 minutes, rotating through five sites. The game tells you very little about it and it is very easy to miss the event once it pops. And she expects us to do 300 of these for a title 🫨 With this addon, everything is in one place so you are ready, Cursebreaker babe!

What it does

Live countdown - sits in small movable bar that shows the surge that's running now, counts down to the next one, with the site named. Tooltop gives you richer data about the weekly progress, your Cursebreaker achievement progress, and more:

- Tells you if you've already done it today. Per character, per site. It reads the game's own record of your kill

- Knows the difference between "not up yet" and "nothing here". There's a gap of about a minute between a window opening and the rare actually appearing. During that gap the bar reads SPAWNING SOON instead of leaving you staring at an empty map wondering if you've got the wrong spot.

- Flags what you missed. If a surge runs its course without you clearing it (while you are logged in), you'll see MISSED rather than silence.

- Waypoint button. One click pins the current site. Ten minutes before the next surge it switches to the next one instead. Uses the game's built-in map pin, no other addon required.

- Alerts. An optional heads-up a set number of minutes before a surge starts, and an optional alert the moment one goes up. Both off by default; turn on whichever suits you.

- Progress at a glance. How many of the five sites you've cleared today, your weekly Turn Back the Surge progress, and lifetime progress toward Cursebreaker.

- Blizzard demystisim - "Why can't I see the surge markers?" If the game isn't showing them to you yet, use /csh gate for help.


Options

Open with /csh config or through the game's addons options.

Scale, bar width, transparency, lock position, custom bar colours, alert timing, alert toggles, waypoint button on/off, and a choice between showing the bar everywhere or only while you're on the isle. There's also a minimize-to-a-button mode if you want it out of the way.
