Crosshair Z
Action combat for World of Warcraft (Midnight and WoW: Forever). One download for both.
It turns tab-targeting into something closer to an action game: the camera follows your mouse without holding right click, a crosshair in the middle of the screen picks your target, and your mouse buttons cast spells. Every setting lives in one window: /cz.
Features
Free Look
- Turn the camera by moving the mouse, no right click needed.
- Toggle it with one key, or hold a key to turn it off for a moment.
- The cursor is released automatically when you open bags, the map, vendors, quest windows, etc., and locks again when you close them.
- Add your own addon windows to that list if they need the cursor.
Reticle Targeting
- Aim the crosshair at an enemy to target it.
@mouseoverand@cursormacros work with the crosshair.- Optional friendly targeting, with a setting to turn it off in combat.
- Show Target Circle keeps the ring under your target visible (some clients and addons hide it).
Crosshair
- 13 styles. It turns red on enemies, green on friendlies, and yellow on objects you can interact with.
- Size, opacity, and vertical position adjustment.
- Sticky Crosshair holds onto enemies slightly so you don't lose your target by accident.
- Can be hidden while mounted.
Click Casting
- While Free Look is on, left and right click cast abilities.
Shift,Ctrl, andAltcombos give you up to 8 actions on the mouse.- Bind action buttons, game actions, or your own macros.
- Account-wide or per-character bindings.
Camera
- Optional Action Camera preset with an over-the-shoulder offset.
- Camera turn speed adjustments.
- If you use a camera addon, Crosshair Z hands camera control over to it.
Settings Window
- Sidebar with every page, a Home page with your status at a glance, quick actions, and patch notes.
- Hover any setting to see what it does.
- Four color themes and a panel scale slider.
Getting Started
- Install the addon and log in.
- Type
/czand open Mouse Look. - Set your Toggle key, press it in game, and start aiming.
Commands
/cz— Opens or closes the settings window./cz crosshair— Opens a page directly (alsonotes,freelook,reticle,clicks,advanced)./czundo— Reverts every game setting Crosshair Z changed and disables the addon.
Keybinds are also located under
Options > Keybindings > AddOns > Crosshair Z.
Good to Know
- Reticle Targeting changes the game's soft-targeting settings. Turning it off restores them, and
/czundoreverts everything. - Settings can't be changed in combat, so the window closes when combat starts.
- No combat log reading and no automation. It only changes how you aim and click, so it works within Midnight's addon rules.
