ColoredMPlusPlates is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon that improves combat readability in instanced PvE content by color-coding enemy nameplates. It now also features threat border coloring.

The addon automatically adjusts nameplate colors only inside dungeons, raids, and scenarios, keeping the open world and PvP completely untouched.

🎯 What it does

Inside instanced PvE content, enemy nameplates are recolored as follows:

• Pink nameplates
  Applied to caster-type enemies (e.g. Mage, Warlock, Priest, Shaman, Druid, Evoker, Paladin equivalents).
  This helps you quickly identify mobs that are likely to cast dangerous spells or require interrupts.

• Orange nameplates
  Applied to miniboss-style enemies:

  • Elite classification

  • 1 level higher level than the player
    These enemies usually demand extra attention due to increased damage or mechanics.

  • Bright cyan nameplates
    Applied to bosses.

    • Elite classification

    • 2 levels higher level than the player
      These enemies usually demand extra attention due to increased damage or mechanics.

All other enemies retain Blizzard’s default nameplate colors.

• 🔄 Automatically re-applies colors if Blizzard updates nameplates mid-combat
