Color Spectrum

A colorblind-friendly class color overhaul for World of Warcraft.

Color Spectrum lets you replace the default class colors with your own, so the
classes you have trouble telling apart are always easy to identify. Your custom
colors are applied consistently wherever the game shows a class color, and you
can tune every class individually from the built-in options panel.

Features

• Custom class colors for every class, set with an embedded color wheel or by typing exact R/G/B or hex values.
• Applied across the interface, including:
  • Chat sender names
  • Compact unit frames (party/raid frames) health bars
  • Floating player names in the world (nameplates)
  • The guild roster / Communities member list
  • The chat inside the Communities window
  • Blizzard's built-in damage meter
• Reorderable class list — drag the dots next to a class to arrange the list in whatever order makes sense to you.
• Quick restore buttons — reset a class to Blizzard's default color or to the addon's recommended color with a single click.
• Minimap button — left-click to open or close the options panel; drag it around the minimap edge and it remembers where you left it.

Recommended colors

Out of the box, Color Spectrum ships with a AI-picked palette designed to keep the classes distinct even for many common types of color vision deficiency. If you prefer the default Blizzard look for any class, just use the Default button for that class. You're more than welcome to provide codes that actually work for you, together with your defined color blindness (Deuteranopia, Protanopia, Tritanopia) so others can use your settings in the comments! Depending on feedback, I will add defaults for all common types, making sure to credit the people that supplied the values.

Notes

• All settings are stored in the ColorSpectrum saved variable and persist between sessions.
• If a class color still looks like the default somewhere, that spot may be driven by protected/secret game code; Color Spectrum only recolors what the client lets an addon safely touch. Report whatever you find missing!
• The addon currently only supports WoW Forever and is not tested with additional unit frame addons. Compatibility is neither guaranteed not likely. This is subject to change.
