Missing mounts, toys and set pieces: where they come from, which requirements are missing and whether the boss is still open this week.

Collection Hunter

Find out what you are still missing, where it comes from, and whether you can still get it this week.

Collection Hunter is an addon for collectors. It lists your missing mounts, toys and armor set pieces in one window. For every entry it tells you:

  • Where it comes from. The source text (vendor, zone, cost, quest, holiday …) and, for boss drops, the instance, the boss and every difficulty it drops on.
  • Whether you are missing a requirement. For achievement rewards you see the achievement, your progress and the criteria that are still open.
  • Whether you already killed the boss this week. Checked per difficulty against your raid/dungeon lockouts and the world bosses you have killed:
    • green: open, go farm it
    • red: already killed, with the time until the weekly reset
    • yellow: you are locked to the instance, but the boss could not be matched

The list is sorted so that the things you can actually farm this week come first.

Features

  • Three tabs: Mounts, Toys and Armor Sets (missing pieces for the character you are playing).
  • Boss drops from a scan of the Encounter Journal, covering all instances and difficulties.
  • Weekly lockout status for every drop, refreshed each time you open the window.
  • Achievement requirements with the missing criteria in the tooltip.
  • Armor sets: every missing piece with its alternatives, drop sources, lockout status and requirements.
  • Filters: farmable this week, boss drops only, hide shop/promo items, hide unobtainable items, and a search over name, source, instance and boss.
  • English and German interface, following your game language or chosen in the window.
  • Optional AllTheThings integration for more source paths and requirement checks (see below).

Usage

Command What it does
/chunter Open or close the window (last used tab)
/mmounts, /mtoys, /msets Open a tab directly
/chunter scan Run the data scan again
/chunter lang auto, en, de Interface language: follow the game, English or German

In the list:

  • Left-click opens the Encounter Journal at the boss, or the achievement.
  • Right-click opens the Mount Journal or the Toy Box.
  • Shift-click posts the link in chat.
  • In the Armor Sets tab, a click opens the set in the Appearances collection. The tooltip lists every missing piece with its source, boss status and requirements.

The first time you open the window (and after every game patch) Collection Hunter scans the Encounter Journal and achievements in the background. The scan pauses while the Encounter Journal or Collections window is open.

Optional: AllTheThings

If AllTheThings is installed, Collection Hunter also uses its database:

  • Source paths like Dragonflight > Zaralek Cavern > Rares > …, which helps most with rare mobs and world drops that the Encounter Journal does not know about.
  • Requirements with your status: open prerequisite quests, the reputation you need (with your current standing) and the cost (gold, currencies, items, with what you have).
  • Unobtainable items (never added to the game or removed, according to ATT) can be hidden.

Collection Hunter only reads ATT's data. If ATT changes its internals, Collection Hunter keeps working, just without the extra information.

Limitations

  • For armor set pieces the game only returns drop sources as names, so the lockout check compares names. If they differ, the boss shows as open or yellow.
  • Rare mob and world drops only show their source text, without weekly tracking.
  • Reputation, quest and cost requirements are only checked with AllTheThings.
  • Normal and heroic dungeons have no weekly lockout, so they always show as open.
  • For renown and friendship factions the reputation requirement is shown but not evaluated.
