ClearSkies-1.8.0.zip
What's new
Changelog
1.8.0 — 2026-10-01
First public release, built for WoW: Forever.
Scenic flights
- Fades out the whole UI when you take a flight path and fades it back in when you land, restoring any UI transparency you had set.
- Hides the minimap, whose player arrow and dots would otherwise stay on screen.
- Clears the world too: nameplates, floating names, guild names and titles, chat bubbles, damage and healing numbers, quest NPC rings and interact icons. Your own settings come back on landing or logout.
- Pulls the camera back on takeoff and returns it to your zoom on landing (optional).
- Hides an idle cursor after 2 seconds; click to bring it back (optional).
Screen tints
- Six looks: Golden hour, Sunset, Dreamy blue, Vintage sepia, Cinematic and No tint.
- The tint fades in with takeoff and out on landing, over the world only.
- Hover a look in the panel to preview it live on your screen; click to choose it.
Never miss anything
- Hold Shift to peek at your UI at any time mid-flight.
- The UI comes back on its own for queue pops, ready checks, party invites, summons and other popups, then hides again once they're answered.
- Whispers and Battle.net whispers bring the UI back for 5 seconds.
- Opening the world map, the game menu or Settings mid-flight shows the UI while they're open.
Settings
- Panel with the looks and on/off rows for hiding the UI, the cursor and the camera pull-back. Open it with
/clearskies, the minimap button (drag it to move it) or the game's addon menu by the minimap. /clearskies toggleturns Clear Skies on or off.- Settings are saved, but Forever currently doesn't load addon settings after a restart (a known Blizzard bug), so they reset each login until that's fixed.
Safe by design
- Combat never leaves anything stuck: changes the game blocks during combat are retried as soon as it ends.
- A twice-a-second check restores the UI after landing even if the game misses an event.
