ClassicKOS (TBC Classic) - Guild-Synced Kill on Sight List

ClassicKOS is a lightweight Burning Crusade Classic addon built for one thing: maintaining and acting on a Kill On Sight (KOS) list with your guild.

What it does

• Add and remove enemy players from a personal KOS list with /kos commands or a simple in-game panel.
• Save optional notes/reasons for each entry (for example: “camped flight path” or “attacked while leveling”).
• Persist your KOS list between sessions.
• Sync KOS entries with guildmates who also run ClassicKOS.
• Alert you when a listed enemy is detected through normal game events (target, mouseover, combat log, and available nameplate events).
• Provide anti-spam alert cooldowns per enemy so warnings stay useful.
• Optionally play a warning sound for detections.
• Announce confirmed KOS kills to guild chat (including the saved reason when available).
• Include a minimap button to quickly open/close the addon UI.

How this changes gameplay

ClassicKOS helps you react faster in world PvP by turning your guild’s memory into live, actionable alerts.

Instead of relying on memory or chat callouts:

• You immediately know when a known hostile appears nearby.
• You can see who added the target and why they are on KOS.
• Your guild shares the same target intelligence automatically, so new enemies added by one player become visible to others running the addon.
• You spend less time typing and checking notes, and more time making decisions in the moment.

Example player experience

• While questing in Nagrand, a known enemy from your KOS list comes into range.
  ClassicKOS prints an alert (and sound if enabled), so you can prepare, avoid, or engage immediately.
• A guildmate adds a repeat ganker to KOS with a reason.
  Your addon receives that entry and shows who added it, so context is clear.
• Your group kills that target later.
  Guild chat can automatically post a short kill message with location and saved reason, keeping everyone informed.
