Chrysana's Combat Log Enable
Keeps combat logging switched on, and tells you which addon keeps switching it off. If your Warcraft Logs or Archon uploads keep coming up short, this is for you. Type /cle to open the settings.
Keeps logging on
- Switches combat logging back on whenever it finds it off
- Keeps Advanced Combat Logging on too, which Warcraft Logs needs
- Waits a few seconds after login or /reload before stepping in, so other logging addons get to go first and the two don't fight over it
- Then checks again on a regular timer, in case something slips past
Finds the culprit
- The moment any addon switches logging off, it names that addon in chat
- Keeps a log of every time it's happened, with the time and the addon, so you can check after a raid
- Switching logging off yourself with /combatlog is logged as "the game", so you can tell it apart
Many addons have their own "log combat automatically" option: boss mods, dungeon tools, damage meters and others. Most of these switch logging off again in any content they're not set to log, so an option set to Mythic+ only will quietly stop your raid logs. Once Combat Log Enable has named the addon, turn off or widen that addon's own logging option.
Settings
- Turn the automatic switching on or off
- How long to wait after login or /reload (0 to 60 seconds)
- How often to check (every 5 seconds to every 5 minutes)
- See the current state of combat logging and Advanced Combat Logging, and the most recent entries in the log
Commands
- /cle: open the settings
- /cle status: print whether logging is on
- /cle log: print the full log of what switched logging off
- /cle on / /cle off: turn the automatic switching on or off. It still logs what it sees while it's off.
- /cle clearlog: empty the log
Note
This addon only keeps the game writing its combat log. To get your logs onto Warcraft Logs or Archon you still need their uploader app.
