What's new since v1.0.0

New tabs and windows

• Locations tab. Never wonder where something is again. 63 built-in places are ready to go: every current dungeon, raid and delve, Timewalking vendors, gear and upgrade vendors, Renown and PvP quartermasters. Click a place to drop the game's own map pin on it, or right-click to copy its /way command. Search by name or zone, collapse any section, and add your own places (shared by all your characters). Horde and Alliance vendors show only for your faction.
• Professions tab. A clean 0 to 100 progress bar for every expansion of every profession, for every character.
• To-Do tab and To-Do pop-out. A shared task list with a daily and weekly priority order for each character, drag to reorder, and automatic daily and weekly resets. The new pop-out keeps your priority list on screen in a small window that fades out of the way (you choose how much), and you can open it with Shift-click on the minimap button.
• What's New window. After every update, a window tells you what changed, and if you skipped a few updates it lists every version you missed. New installs get a friendly welcome. You can turn it off in the options.

Loadout

• Best in Slot picks now come straight from the game's Adventure Guide. Raid and Mythic+ dungeon gear, item levels, stats and tier sets are read for every spec of every character you have logged in, so the list is accurate and up to date with each patch.
• The Catalyst source picker shows the right item level and stats and lists only gear your spec can use.
• Preferred consumables, gems and enchants for each character and spec, with item pickers, tooltips and links.

Currencies and Great Vault

• The full Midnight currency catalog: 35 currencies, each with where to earn it and where to spend it, including currencies a character has not discovered yet. Profession Moxie currencies appear only for the professions a character actually has.
• Click a "where to spend" location to place the game's map pin there.
• Hide the currencies you do not care about.
• Faction-aware locations: Alliance and Horde characters see their own vendors.

Characters tab and minimap

• Lockouts for every character: raid, dungeon and world boss lockouts in a tidy grid in the minimap tooltip and in the Characters hover tooltip.
• A Horde or Alliance emblem beside each character.
• Gold, item level, rested XP, keystone, location and last seen for all your characters, and your data is kept between sessions so alts never go blank.

Look, options and tools

• A brand new look: deep indigo and gold, a starfield and horizon glow behind the window, and elegant headings.
• Tabs are now separate add-ons listed under Character Manager in the AddOn list. Switch off any tab you do not use and its code is not loaded at all.
• A redesigned options window with a page for each tab that has settings.
• Debug commands open in a copy window you can select and copy from, which makes sending a problem report easy. A mistyped command now shows the command list.
• Clickable Discord link.

Fixed

• Character data (gold, item level, gear, currencies, Great Vault, professions) is no longer lost when you log out.
• The Characters hover tooltip appears next to the cursor.
• Clicking a spend location now places a map pin instead of only copying a command.
• Some consumables that showed no icon now have one.
• Catalyst picker tooltips show the correct item level, and the picker no longer lists gear your spec cannot equip.
• Many fixes to how the add-on reads the Adventure Guide on a cold start, so picks are complete the first time.
• Lockout grid, tooltip and text sizing fixes, and tidier spacing in the options.

Known issues

These are the ones we know about and are working on:

• Locations search. Typing in the Locations search box can empty the list instead of filtering it. Clear the box to see everything again.
• To-Do pop-out. When your mouse is over the pop-out it does not always become fully visible. Set the visibility slider to 100% in the To-Do options as a workaround.
• Map pins in four cities. The game refuses a map pin on the Dalaran maps (both), Stormshield and Warspear. Right-click the place to copy its /way command instead.
• WoW Forever. Only the main Character Manager window (Characters tab and About) runs there for now. The other tabs show as "Incompatible" in the AddOn list. Full support is planned.
• Crafted gear. Some crafted items show a low required level in the game, and we are still checking how they should appear in the Best in Slot picker.
• Some currency details are unconfirmed. A few currencies (for example Brimming Arcana, Angler Pearls and Luminous Dust) are marked as unverified on the tab, and some map coordinates are approximate.
• Waypoints. Copying a /way command only does something if you have a waypoint add-on installed. The map pin works without one.
• Items outside the Adventure Guide. Gear that is not in the Adventure Guide (for example some delve and rare drops) cannot be picked as Best in Slot yet.
• Great Vault and lockouts for alts show what was true when the character last logged in, and a lockout that resets while you are away is dropped at its reset time.
