CC Announcer

CC Announcer is a lightweight addon for WoW Classic / TBC Classic that announces when you or your group are affected by crowd control. It helps teammates react quickly when someone gets stunned, feared, rooted, or silenced without needing to constantly watch unit frames.

When a CC effect is applied, the addon sends a short message to chat and optionally displays a center-screen alert so it’s easy to notice even during heavy combat.

The goal of the addon is to provide useful CC information without cluttering the screen or requiring complicated setup.

Slash Commands

/cc

Opens the settings window.

/cc test

Triggers a test alert so you can see how announcements look.

/cc resetdr

Clears stored diminishing returns data.

Configuration

All settings are available through the in-game panel. Options include:

Enable / disable the addon
Track CC on self, party, or raid
Toggle specific CC types
Choose announcement channel
Adjust anti-spam delay
Enable or disable alert sounds

CC Announcer is designed to stay lightweight and not interfere with other UI mods.
