Buddy is an AddOn to manage the summoning of your companions.
I made this because I ALWAYS forget to resummon my companion
when it's automatically dismissed (after loading screens,
teleports, etc).
As an added bonus, this will dismiss your companion when you
stealth, and resummon it when you unstealth.
Automatic summoning will be set for a companion when you summon
it, and removed when you dismiss it. The companion will be
resummoned whenever it is not currently summoned as long as you
are not mounted, eating/drinking, stealthed, casting, dead,
in combat, and don't have an item-summoned companion out - this
is currently done by checking item names of what summons
temporary companions, please notify me of items that are covered
by auto-summon.
For personal relief from this open your chat box and type
/bic then link the item. (Stands for Buddy Inventory Companion.)
or /bec for equipable items that summon companions.
If there's something else autosummoning breaks that it shouldn't
or if there's any typos or misinformation in the collection list
feel free to post a comment or ticket about it and I'll add it.
Use /bopt to open the options menu.
Use /companion to dismiss and resummon your companion.
Options so far include:
Enable/disable auto-summoning entirely.
Disable auto-summoning when in a battleground.
Summon a random companion.
Only summon a random companion that does not require regeants to summon.
FUTURE PLANS:
There are a few more features I want implemented before this makes it to 1.0, those are:
Filters for the collection list. Filter by obtainability (Green, Yellow (BW AH only), Red (unobtainable)), and by how it's obtained (quest, vendor, etc).
Fix the alphabatizer. It sorts by the first letter correctly...the remaining ones are a little random.
Programmable mount system. With one macro/key, summon the specific (or random!) mount you want for a particular area based on: map name, zone name, in flyable area, is currently swimming, and perhaps more all through a simple (or optionally advanced) GUI.
Alphabetically sort the standard Companion and Mount frames' list for easily hunting down what you're looking for. Perhaps a search bar too.
