# Campfire Angler

*Pull up a log by the water. One key, a louder splash, and nothing else to worry about.*

Campfire Angler makes fishing simple and relaxing. Bind a single key: press it to cast, and press the same key to reel in when you hear the splash. No more hunting for the bobber with your mouse.

## Features

- **One key to fish:** the same key casts your line and reels it in.
- **Louder splash:** while you fish, sound effects go to full volume and music, ambience and dialog are muted, so the splash is easy to hear. Your normal sound settings come back shortly after you stop.
- **Bobber icon:** an icon above the bobber makes it easy to spot in the water.
- **Fishing indicator:** a small, movable box shows when you're ready to cast, a countdown while your line is out, and how many fish you've caught.
- **Only when you need it:** on WoW Forever, the key only becomes your fishing key while a fishing pole is equipped. Swap back to your weapon and it does its usual job again.
- **Easy menu:** set your key and options in a window, no chat commands needed.
- **Minimap button:** left-click for options, right-click to show or hide the indicator.

## How to use

1. Type **/angler** or click the minimap button.
2. Click **Fishing key** and press the key or mouse button you want.
3. Go fishing: press the key to cast, then again when you hear the splash.

## Good to know

- Addons can't detect when a fish bites; the game blocks this on purpose. The louder splash is how you catch it.
- If reeling in does nothing, clear your current target: the interact key goes to a targeted NPC before the bobber.
- Other addons that change soft-targeting or fishing keys can conflict. Turn them off while fishing if something feels off.
