BuffManager – Smart Raid Buff Tracker

Automatically opens when buffs are missing – and closes again when everyone is buffed!

BuffManager is a lightweight and intelligent raid buff assistant for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary.

No more permanently open buff windows cluttering your screen. BuffManager automatically appears when players need buffs and disappears again once everyone is properly buffed.

Automatic Show & Hide

• Automatically opens when players are missing buffs.

• Closes itself when everyone is properly buffed.

• No need to constantly open or close the addon manually.

• May remain visible when a player's buff status is unknown.

Smart Buff Modes

BuffManager offers three different buffing modes that can be switched directly from the addon window.

AUTO MODE – Smart Buff Selection

• Automatically chooses the most efficient buff.

• Uses a group buff when two or more players in the same raid subgroup need it.

• Automatically switches to single-target buffs when only one player needs a buff.

• Falls back to single-target buffs if a group buff is unavailable.

• Helps save reagents and avoids unnecessary group buff casts.

GROUP MODE – Prefer Group Buffs

• Prioritizes group buffs whenever available.

• Can use group buffs even when only one player in the subgroup needs the buff.

• Falls back to single-target buffs when group buffs are unavailable.

SINGLE MODE – Individual Buffing

• Always uses single-target buffs.

• Never selects group buffs.

• Useful for buffing individual players without consuming group buff reagents.

Important: BuffManager automatically selects the appropriate spells, but casting still requires a player click. It does not automatically cast spells without interaction.

One-Click Buffing

• Click a player to cast the appropriate buff.

• Dedicated group buff buttons for faster raid buffing.

• Players disappear from the list once their required buffs have been applied.

• The list updates automatically as buffs are added or removed.

Raid Group Support

• Supports solo play, parties and raids of up to 40 players.

• Automatically organizes players by raid subgroup.

• Displays only players with missing buffs or unknown buff status.

• Automatically adjusts the window layout to the number of entries.

Range Detection

• Warns when a player is out of buffing range.

• Displays clear range indicators next to affected players.

Unknown Buff Status Handling

• Detects players whose buff status cannot currently be checked.

• Distinguishes between other zones, other instances and invisible players when possible.

• Unknown entries are displayed separately and cannot trigger buff casts.

• Prevents unknown buffs from being incorrectly counted as missing.

Automatic Localization

• German interface for German WoW clients (deDE).

• English interface for English clients (enUS / enGB).

• Other client languages default to English.

• Spell names automatically use the language of your WoW client.

Compact and Scalable Interface

BuffManager automatically detects the supported spells learned by your character.

Slash Commands

• /bm – Toggle automatic display

• /bm on – Enable automatic display

• /bm off – Disable automatic display

• /bm mode auto – Automatic group/single buff selection

• /bm mode group – Prefer group buffs

• /bm mode single – Single-target buffs only

• /bm scale 1.2 – Adjust the window scale

• /bm refresh – Refresh the buff list

• /bm test – Preview the interface

• /bm debug – Display spell detection information

Important Notes

BuffManager does not manage Paladin blessings.

Due to World of Warcraft's addon restrictions, spells cannot be cast automatically without player interaction.

The addon pauses protected interface updates during combat to comply with Blizzard's secure action system.
