Buff Dibs

Never miss a buff request in the middle of a pull again.

Buff Dibs is a lightweight alert addon for healers and support players. Currently supporting Power Infusion and Innervate. Triggered by any whisper received during combat.

How It Works

During combat, any incoming whisper triggers the fully customizable alert. Options include an icon, TTS the player's name, a sound, and/or a frame glow.

Features

Combat-only: The addon is only active during combat, so no random triggers elsewhere.
Spell icon popup: Icon popup of spell requested with the requester's name.
Sound alert: 7 different sounds to choose from. (Willing to add more)
Text-to-Speech: TTS reads the requester's name to you. (Toggle on or off)
Spam protection: 5 second cooldown between alerts
Frame glow: customizable frame glow around chosen target.

Setup

Install and open ESC → Interface → AddOns → Buff Dibs. Pick your spell, choose a sound, position your popup icon using the Unlock Position button, and hit Test to preview everything.
Frame Glow: Before entering combat, target the player you want to buff and either type /bdibs target in chat, or open the settings panel and click Use Current Target in the Frame Glow section. The glow must be set up before combat due to Blizzard API restrictions.
