Broker Panels

Broker Panels is a flexible and lightweight information panel system for World of Warcraft.

It lets you create customizable panels and fill them with the information you actually want to see. Data sources can be arranged freely in a grid-based layout with separate left, center, and right sections.

The goal of Broker Panels is to provide a clean, modular display system without forcing a fixed bar layout or a predefined set of information.

Official Broker Panels modules

Broker Panels is designed around optional modules that provide additional information.

Currently available modules include:

• Broker Panels: Bags Bag space, used and free slots, percentages, individual bags, and special bag information.

• Broker Panels: Money Character money information with configurable display and extended account/character information in the tooltip.

• Broker Panels: Locations Current zone, subzone, coordinates, and additional location information. Zone-related dungeon, raid, and world boss information is available through the tooltip where applicable.

• Broker Panels: Repair Equipment durability, damaged and broken items, repair costs, and optional automatic repairs using personal gold.

Additional modules can use the same data-provider system without adding special handling to the Broker Panels core.

Compatibility

Broker Panels is developed for the modern World of Warcraft interface.

Support for WoW Retail and WoW Forever is part of the current development. The core addon and the currently available official modules are being tested with both environments.

Some game-specific features may depend on the APIs available in the respective World of Warcraft version.

For addon developers

Broker Panels supports semantic data providers through LibSemanticData-1.0.

Providers can expose clearly defined fields and values while Broker Panels remains responsible for presentation and layout. Compatible LibDataBroker sources can also be displayed.

This keeps data providers independent from a specific user interface and allows other addons to integrate with Broker Panels without requiring custom display code.

Offizielle Broker-Panels-Module

Broker Panels ist für optionale Module ausgelegt, die zusätzliche Informationen bereitstellen.

Aktuell verfügbare Module sind:

• Broker Panels: Bags Taschenplätze, belegte und freie Plätze, Prozentwerte, einzelne Taschen und Informationen zu Spezialtaschen.

• Broker Panels: Money Geldinformationen des Charakters mit konfigurierbarer Anzeige und erweiterten Charakter-/Accountinformationen im Tooltip.

• Broker Panels: Locations Aktuelles Gebiet, Untergebiet, Koordinaten und weitere Standortinformationen. Informationen zu Dungeons, Raids und Weltbossen eines Gebietes können, wo sinnvoll, im Tooltip angezeigt werden.

• Broker Panels: Repair Ausrüstungshaltbarkeit, beschädigte und zerstörte Gegenstände, Reparaturkosten sowie optionales automatisches Reparieren mit persönlichem Gold.

Weitere Module können dasselbe Datenprovider-System verwenden, ohne dass dafür Sonderlogik im Broker-Panels-Kern benötigt wird.

Kompatibilität

Broker Panels wird für die moderne World-of-Warcraft-Benutzeroberfläche entwickelt.

Die Unterstützung von WoW Retail und WoW Forever ist Bestandteil der aktuellen Entwicklung. Das Hauptaddon und die derzeit verfügbaren offiziellen Module werden in beiden Umgebungen getestet.

Einzelne spielspezifische Funktionen können von den APIs abhängen, die in der jeweiligen World-of-Warcraft-Version verfügbar sind.

Für Addon-Entwickler

Broker Panels unterstützt semantische Datenprovider über LibSemanticData-1.0.

Provider stellen klar definierte Felder und Werte bereit, während Broker Panels für Darstellung und Layout zuständig ist. Kompatible LibDataBroker-Datenquellen können ebenfalls angezeigt werden.

Dadurch bleiben Datenprovider unabhängig von einer bestimmten Benutzeroberfläche und andere Addons können Broker Panels ohne speziell dafür entwickelten Darstellungscode unterstützen.
