Broken Meta : DPS

Item values in every tooltip

• The DPS value of every item for your spec, computed by the BrokenMeta.gg DPS simulator (stat weights from thousands of simulated fights).
• Compared with what you're wearing: see at a glance whether an item is an upgrade.
• Items your class can't wear are flagged, including gear you can only wear at a higher level.
• Where it drops: the dungeon and boss, or the quest that rewards it.

Character tab

• Your spec (detected from your talents, or picked by hand), your stat weights and the value of each equipped item.

Upgrades tab

• Upgrades in your bags.
• The best dungeon item for every slot at your level.
• The most rewarding dungeon to run next.

Personal stat weights

• Simulate your real character on brokenmeta.gg (Simulate my character), then import your own weights with /bmw import.
• They replace the generic level-20 weights and are right for your level and gear.
• The addon reminds you to refresh them every 5 levels.

Guide tab

• How closely you follow the recommended talents for your spec, plus quick links to the full spec and profession guides on the site.

Export

• One-click export of your character (class, spec, level, talents, gear, sheet stats) to paste on the site. No character name, no realm.

Broken Meta : Professions

Find an available crafter

• A live directory of the crafters who run the addon and set themselves available, across your whole realm and faction, in any zone. You don't need to group up or share a guild.
• Each crafter card shows their race portrait, level, professions with skill level, and a short message ("weapons and armor, bring your mats").
• Recipes: one click shows everything a crafter can make, with the game's own tooltips. Shift-click to link an item in chat.
• Item search: type an item name and only the crafters who can make it remain.
• Favourites: star the crafters you trust. They stay in your list, greyed, even when they're not online.
• Popularity: each crafter shows how many players favourited them, and the directory ranks the most trusted crafters first.
• Whisper: one click opens a whisper to the crafter. The addon never sends a message for you: you decide who to contact.

Offer your services

1. Open your profession window once: the addon records your recipes.
2. In My profile, write a short message (up to 60 characters) and click Available.
3. Your announce reaches every addon player on your realm and lasts one hour. The addon reminds you before it expires, and one click on Renew extends it.

Level a profession at the best price

• Leveling tab: the optimal route from the BrokenMeta.gg profession guides, step by step, starting from your current skill.
• Scan the auction house in one click, from the tab or from a button on the auction house window.
• Every reagent is priced at the cheapest option:
  • vendor items at the vendor price, unless the auction house is cheaper;
  • gathered items at your latest scan's price;
  • items crafted by the same profession at the cheaper of their auction price and their crafting cost.
• For every step you get:
  • the total cost;
  • the cost of one craft;
  • the crafted item's auction price, highlighted when selling it is worth more than crafting it.
• Hover any reagent or crafted item for the game's tooltip plus the price details.
• Prices are shown with gold, silver and copper coin icons.

Share your data (optional)

• Help improve the simulator and the profession guides by sharing the addon's anonymous measurements and auction scans on brokenmeta.gg (Share my data page).
• Sharing is off by default (/bmw share on).
• No character name or account is ever sent, and every upload can be deleted with its code.

Commands

• /bmw: open or close the hub (or click the minimap button)
• /bmw craft: open the crafters directory
• /bmw weights: print your spec's stat weights in chat
• /bmw import: import your personal stat weights (/bmw import clear to go back to generic weights)
• /bmw export: character export for the site
• /bmw spec <id> or /bmw auto: force a spec, or go back to automatic detection
• /bmw list: list your class's simulated specs
• /bmw ah: scan the auction house (it must be open)
• /bmw share on / off: turn anonymous data sharing on or off
• /bmw minimap: show or hide the minimap button

Privacy and fair play

• Everything stays in your game. The crafters directory travels between addon players inside the game, not through any server.
• Nothing is sent to BrokenMeta.gg unless you choose to share your data.
• Follows Blizzard's addon rules: free, readable code, no automation. Every crafter announce comes from a click by the player, and players contact each other themselves.
