Boomer Addon – Changelog (Version 2.0)

  • “Oops, My Bad” Fix: Attempted to hook Battle.net whispers in Classic, which ended up breaking the existing functionality. I was so busy chasing BNSendWhisper that I forgot Classic sometimes doesn’t even have it! This release fixes the broken bits, returns normal expansions (LF#M, #SR, etc.), and safely tries hooking BNet if available—no more random errors.

  • Why It Doesn’t Hook on Classic: Turns out Classic’s API often lacks BNSendWhisper, so even though I coded it, the game never calls that function. On Retail, it’s fine, but in Classic, it’s basically a no-op.

  • All’s Well Now: The addon is back to normal, hooking your outgoing chat across all channels (and BNet if it’s truly present). Enjoy the expansions and formatting—without fear of weird errors. I will keep thinking through a work around for all BNet messages sent in game, for now the rest is super stable. Apologies!!
