# Boom — Heal & Support Frames

Modern healing and support raid frames with click-casting, written from scratch
for **World of Warcraft Retail 12.0.7 (Midnight)**.

Boom ships **no libraries and no art files** — it is pure Lua on top of the
game's own assets. Drop the folder in and it works.

## Three things it does differently

**1. There is no setup to get through.**
Log in, press one button in the window that appears, and your spells are already
on your mouse. Boom reads your specialization, filters its database by what you
have actually learned, and lays the result out in a sensible order. It shows you
exactly what it is about to bind before you commit. Everything stays editable.

**2. Support roles are first-class.**
A modern raid is not "healers heal, everyone else presses buttons". An
Augmentation Evoker keeps Ebon Might and Prescience on the right targets; a
Protection Paladin hands out Blessing of Sacrifice and Freedom; a Warrior places
Intervene; a Death Knight drops Anti-Magic Zone; half the raid carries a battle
resurrection. Every one of those decisions is made by looking at a specific
player — which is what a raid frame is for.

So Boom treats support abilities exactly like healing spells: bindable,
trackable, and visible on the frames. It also draws the *negative* space —
when a player is a legitimate target for your support buff and is missing it,
their frame shows that buff's own icon as a dim outlined ghost. Missing coverage
becomes a shape you can scan for instead of a fact you have to remember.

**3. It is built to be read during a pull.**
Flat bars, crisp 1px borders, measured colour, and information where your eye is
already looking. Nothing is drawn that cannot be read at raid-frame size while
you are watching the boss.

## What is on a frame

- Health, incoming heals, absorb shields and heal absorbs, all on one bar
- Your own HoTs, sorted so yours sit nearest the anchor
- **Dispellable debuffs**, loudly: the icon, the button border recoloured to the
debuff school, and an optional pulse — readable in peripheral vision
- Important and boss debuffs, boss ones drawn larger
- Defensive externals already on the target, so you do not spend yours twice
- Your support buffs, with duration and an expiry warning
- Role, leader, raid marker, ready check, resurrection and summon icons
- Blizzard's private auras (encounter mechanics only you can see)
- Aggro, target and mouseover highlights
- Name, health text and status text, each independently placeable

## Click-casting

Bind any spell, macro or unit action to any of the 40 mouse-button and modifier
combinations. Right click always opens the unit menu and middle click always
targets, reserved before anything else is assigned, so a preset can never leave
you unable to interact with a player.

Ground-targeted spells are bound through an `@mouseover` macro automatically, so
the reticle lands on the player you clicked instead of asking you to place it.

## Layouts

Four independent panels — party, raid, pets, main tank — each with its own
position, size, spacing, growth direction, sorting and group filter. Drag them
into place with the frames unlocked; nothing has to be typed into a box.

## Other

- Profiles, optionally switching automatically with your specialization
- Import / export as a string
- English and Turkish, switchable in-game with no reload
- `/boom` for settings, `/boom setup` for the wizard, `/boom errors` for
diagnostics
