BnF Companion

Blood and Fury's guild addon: one /bnf window for raid week, raid loot, crafting requests, guildmates on the map and in dungeons, whispers, and your characters' bags, gold, cooldowns and attunements.

BnF Companion

The guild addon for Blood and Fury, a Horde guild on World of Warcraft: Forever. It brings guild life into the game and keeps it in step with bnfforever.com. Type /bnf or click the minimap icon to open it.

Getting started

Install it, log in and open /bnf. If the guild website doesn't know your characters yet, the addon asks for your Discord username once: say yes in the DM from the BnF bot (or paste a code from an officer) and your characters join the roster by themselves. Recipes and specializations are read on their own, no scanning.

The sidebar folds down to icons with the button at its top, and every screen uses the extra room.

Your characters

  • Gear, talents, spellbook, professions and recipes, reputation, currencies, attunements and the Legacy system, for every character you play.
  • My Characters: bags and bank across all your characters, profession cooldowns and raid lockouts in one place.
  • Item tooltips list which of your characters hold an item, with bags, bank, mail and worn apart. Mail you send to your own characters and auction house buys count as soon as the game confirms them.
  • Hover the gold in your bags to see every character's gold, lined up coin by coin.
  • Your bags, bank and gold are yours alone: nobody else sees them, officers included.

Your guild

  • Home: your next raid, the guild at a glance, and a "Needs you" list: nights to sign up for, profession cooldowns ready, requests you can make. Quick buttons on each card jump straight to Strats, your Wishlist or BiS, Crafters, or guild dungeon and PvP groups.
  • Members: guildmates' characters as full character sheets (gear, stats, talents, professions), live while they're online and kept after they log off. Alts tuck under their main.
  • Guild map: guildmates show as class-coloured dots on your world map and minimap while they're out in the world (never inside instances). Hover a dot to see who it is.
  • You choose what guildmates see of your characters, and whether you share your position.

Instance Tracker

  • Guild now: every guild group in a dungeon or battleground right now, one card each: who's in it, how long, open spots and level range, with a Whisper button so you can ask to join. Your own group sits at the top.
  • Your runs: each dungeon and battleground you run, with time, XP, gold, mobs and bosses, or honor and the result. It also shows how many new dungeons you've entered this hour.
  • Hide me keeps you off Guild now completely, even on a groupmate's card.
  • The combat log turns itself on (Advanced) in any instance, ready for Warcraft Logs.

Whispers

  • Every whisper you send and receive, characters and Battle.net friends, is kept by the addon, so none goes missing, even in combat or a boss fight.
  • A small whisper window with tabs for your last four conversations, Invite and Delete, which you can move and resize. Your reply key opens it.
  • /bnf whispers: the full log, searchable. Kept on your PC only, never uploaded.

Settings

  • One tab per part of the addon, with switches for the fight card, loot announcements, pop-ups, sounds, tooltips, window size and more.
  • Search settings: type a word and every matching setting from every tab appears, ready to change.

Raid

  • Sign Ups: raid nights with sign-ups by spec (late, tentative, bench, absent), comps, and which raid buffs the group covers.
  • Strats: saved strats for every raid (Standard, Speed run, Parse…) with every boss in order and the trash between, a full plan per phase to learn from, and a map for every step. Fight cards at the pull show only your lines: everyone's, your role's (tank, healer, melee or ranged) and your class's, with slots like {Shaman 1} filled with tonight's names. Officers and raid leaders write and edit them in game, skip a boss a strat doesn't need, load one per group for the night and swap a boss for that night only. It moves on by itself when a boss dies.
  • Raid tools: a floating notes window the raid leader can lock everyone to, a marker bar for raid icons and ground markers, and key bindings to mark mobs.
  • Officers create nights in game, invite everyone signed up, see who's missing a flask or food at the ready check, and keep each item's priority list on the Prio tab (raid loot only, every raid folding open in its filter).

Raid loot ("loot council")

  • Wishlists and BiS lists for each of your specs; Autofill fills your wishlist from your BiS picks that drop.
  • Wishlists and priority on item tooltips.
  • Loot sessions with answers and officers' votes, one-click awards and the trade window filled for you.
  • Try it with /bnf loot demo.

Crafting requests

  • Ask the guild for crafts and materials, with prices, a crafter of your choice and the trade window filled for you.
  • Crafters: everyone's recipe books, grouped by person, with a showcase of up to six professions from any of their characters and starred recipes on top.
  • Try it with /bnf requests demo.

Officers (officers only)

  • Keep private notes on members, a roster log of joins, leaves and rank changes, a watch list that warns you, trial votes, and recruiting lines to post on a click. Shared between officers only, never on guild chat.

BnF Helper

The optional BnF Helper, a small Windows app from bnfforever.com, brings the guild's data into your game and uploads your changes. Turn on Remind me to reload for uploads in Settings to see when changes are waiting to go up.

Good to know

Only guildmates can talk to it, and guild data is only accepted from officers. The full guide is the README.md inside the addon's folder; what's new is in the changelog.
