Changelog
All notable changes to the Blood Ledger addon will be documented in this file.
The format is based on Keep a Changelog, and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning.
[1.0.1] - 2026-09-30
Added
- Metric number abbreviation formatting across kills and deaths: values below 100,000 retain standard comma separators, values from 100,000 to 999,999 format with 'k' (e.g. 100k, 450.2k), and values at 1,000,000+ format with 'M', 'B', and 'T' with up to 1 decimal place and trailing zero stripping.
- Dedicated Cancel button in the Settings modal dialog alongside Save & Close.
- Standard Blizzard UIPanelCloseButton close button added to the Settings dialog header.
Changed
- Staged Settings state lifecycle: Modifying checkboxes or timeframe radio buttons in the Settings dialog now stages inputs in memory; changes are committed strictly upon clicking Save & Close, while Cancel, backdrop clicks, or Escape cleanly discard uncommitted adjustments.
- Synchronized unit tooltip preview in prototype mockup to mirror in-game GameTooltip layout and color formatting 1:1.
Fixed
- Fixed table row hover horizontal shift layout bug in prototype mockup that triggered unwanted horizontal scrollbars.
[1.0.0] - 2026-09-30
Added
- Initial release for World of Warcraft Forever (Classic Era / Camelot Interface 16001).
- Lightweight combat tracking engine aggregating player kills and lethal deaths against creatures (PvE) and players (PvP).
- Rolling 30-day daily aggregation buckets and lifetime total integers with automated pruning.
- Zero-activity exclusion: Creatures and player characters with zero encounters are completely hidden from UI and tooltips.
- Thousand separator formatting across all numbers in ledger, summary cards, and tooltips.
- Calculated Kill/Death (K/D) ratio supporting standard two-decimal precision and specialized
X.X (0D)formatting for targets with zero deaths. - Unit tooltip integration hooking
GameTooltipwith support for Both (30-day and Total), 30-day only, or Total only displays. - Dual-format combat data export modal supporting RFC 4180 CSV and Microsoft Excel XML Spreadsheet 2003 with one-click clipboard copying.
- Modular subsystem architecture separating concerns into Core (Formatter, DB, Combat, Export) and UI (UILib, Tooltip, Minimap, MainFrame).
- Secondary contextual subfiltering bar: Filter monsters by encounter Zone and Monster Type / Classification (Elite, Rare, Boss, Humanoid, Beast, Undead, Dragonkin, Elemental, Demon, Giant, Mechanical), or players by Class.
- Dynamic hero metrics cards: Total Kills, Total Deaths, K/D Ratio, and Targets Tracked recompute reactively based on active filters (All / Monsters with Zone and Type / Players with Class) and active timeframe (Last 30 Days / All-Time Total).
- Official Blizzard class colors (
RAID_CLASS_COLORS) integrated across player target names, class labels, subfilter dropdown options, and unit tooltips. - Proactive target and mouseover classification caching (
UnitClassification) to attribute Elite, Rare, and World Boss encounters accurately. - Reusable UI library (
UI/UILib.lua) and centralized constants (Constants.lua). - Minimap orbit button with drag repositioning and quick summary tooltip (
UI/Minimap.lua). - Grudge / Rivalry list: Dedicated filter tab isolating rivals, right-click player toggling, crimson
[GRUDGE]badges in the ledger, and unit mouseover tooltip highlights in the world. - Granular Settings Reset modal: Built-in Reset Data button with two-stage confirmation modal allowing independent wiping of Monsters, Players, or Both.
- Modular white circle placeholder logo asset (
logo.tgaandlogo.png) prepared for direct asset replacement. - Visual HTML prototype in
mockup/blood_ledger.html.
