BlitzFramesTargets-1.0.9b.zip
What's new
1.0.9b
Bug-fix release. Items marked [Unconfirmed] have a fix in place, but the original report hasn't been seen again to confirm it.
Fixed
- Friendly frames could freeze mid-match with Range Check enabled — health bars stopped updating, objective icons and the target highlight went missing, and the waiting panel could stick. Blizzard sealed the range API used for group members in 12.1, and the errors it threw took the whole friendly update down with them.
- Friendly column header always showed a count of 0, however many teammates were listed.
- Flag pickups and returns could be credited to the wrong faction when a player's name or realm contained "Alliance" or "Horde".
- Russian clients got no flag stack timers in Warsong Gulch or Twin Peaks.
- Enemy specialisations could stop resolving for the rest of a match after a
/reload, falling back to stale cached specs. - Bar corner rounding and the fill's soft edge could persist or double up after changing bar style.
- Sort By Role did nothing to the previews or Test Mode. They kept whatever order they were built with, so the demo contradicted the setting. Both now reorder with it, in either direction. Spec Icons had the same gap against Test Mode.
- Frames could be resized, shown or hidden at moments the game forbids it, causing blocked-action errors and occasional wrong-sized panels.
Fixed — Unconfirmed
- [Unconfirmed] Frames not appearing until
/reload. Off-screen saved positions now fall back on-screen, and a stale end-of-match flag that disabled the recovery check is now healed from the live match state. - [Unconfirmed] Frames flashing then vanishing when joining a match in progress (usually after a disconnect). The entrance animation no longer runs on a mid-match join, and the panel no longer resizes itself while frames are locked.
Removed
- Range Check has been removed from the friendly frames (both Battlegrounds and Epic Battlegrounds), along with its Out of Range Opacity slider. Blizzard sealed the API that measures range to a group member, and the only replacement works for nine of thirteen classes — Warrior, Hunter, Death Knight and Demon Hunter have no friendly-targeted spell to measure with at all. A toggle that silently does nothing on four classes is worse than no toggle. Enemy Range Check is unaffected and works as before.
Added
- LEFT replaces the stealth marker once an enemy has actually left the match. Requires five seconds of continuous absence, so a brief scoreboard gap can't trigger it.
- Frame text is now translated for German, French, Spanish (EU and LatAm), Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean and both Chinese clients — previously Russian only. The options panel remains English. Translations are not native-checked; corrections welcome.
Options panel
- The Appearance header is gone; its column now sits under Bar Options, which is centred over both toggle columns. Bar Settings is renamed Bar Sizes.
- Ping Assist and Keybinds moved down to read as their own sections rather than a loose continuation of the toggles above.
- A Test Mode reminder card sits under the Reposition card.
No settings changed hands in any of this — only where the controls sit. A proper Keybinds tab is planned, which will rearrange this area again.
Changed defaults
- New installs now start on Name and Spec centre text and Healer Only power bars, alongside the existing legacy class art and polygon objective icons. This only affects a fresh install — if you have already set these, your choices are untouched.
Known issues
- Scroll-wheel cycling can mark every enemy as stealthed on non-English clients. Under investigation. If you see this, the most useful thing to report is whether enemy health bars move at all.
- Reload required to correct some load ins
- Ghost Frames
- Spec Icon Limitations including sorting
