What's new
SURVIVOR.EXE: evolutions - the patron's blessing
- A flight's own world buff. Town has Rallying Cry, Nefarian's and Warchief's Blessing; a flight now has your patron's: Warcraft II's top flyers - Blessing of the Dragon for the Horde (from the Dragon Roost), Blessing of the Gryphon Riders for the Alliance (from the Gryphon Aviary).
- How: pick up a spell and its partner passive (the level-up card says which: "Evolves with Haste -> Frostfire Bolt"). The next elite you kill brings the blessing at once - the spell becomes its class's bigger spell, in the same slot: Frostbolt into Frostfire Bolt, Fireball into Pyroblast, Smite into Penance, Lightning Bolt into Chain Lightning, Heroic Strike into Mortal Strike, Multi-Shot into Volley, and 22 more across all nine classes - spells you can't have yet under level 30.
- Each evolved spell has a twist: it slows, burns, heals you, finishes off the weakened, leaps to the next foe when its host dies, or rains on the thickest crowd.
- Ragnaros blesses three - at 75%, 50% and 20% of his health - and grows furious with each: his blows and lava hit harder.
- Every class's spells checked against the Forever client's own spell list: hunters fire Auto Shot from level 1, paladins start with Holy Light (it heals back what you took), warriors and rogues get Throw or Shoot and take less damage up close, Arcane Missiles is a quick volley, and 20 spells you really have under 30 joined (Backstab, Execute, Aimed Shot, Fire Blast, Bane of Agony, Devouring Plague and more). Spells past level 30 became evolutions.
- Chain spells show their jumps - a bright line from you to foe to foe.
- The bookie's cards crowd you less: at most one in a pick, now and then. His deathroll says plainly who lost: the losing 1 in red, and YOU WIN or YOU LOSE across the panel.
Test-Survivor -Evolvetries an evolution on the ground.
ZEPPELIN.EXE and HARBOR.EXE
- ZEPPELIN.EXE: the master greets you. When the zeppelin master or wharfmaster calls for a hand, you hear his own greeting - Zapetta, Frezza, Snurk, Hin Denburg, Nez'raz, Squibby, Lozgil and Grimble each in their own voice - instead of the bell. ALL ABOARD keeps the docking bell.
- The call rides over his head. With friendly NPC nameplates on, the card sits just above the master's name and follows him on screen; out of view, it goes back to its own spot. Drag it and it stays where you put it.
- A footer for the game's words. The stop, wave, lives, gold, ALL ABOARD, the hint and the turret buttons moved off the board into a dark strip under it - a totem can stand anywhere now without covering them. The board is the same size; the window grows a little round it.
- Talk to him and the card moves to his window - his face and DEFEND beside what he says, instead of a separate button. DEFEND there closes his window and starts the game.
- The Horde's own creatures, not totems. A Sen'jin Watcher throws, a Bluffwatcher stomps, Thrall calls the lightning, an Undercity Guardian slows - like the Alliance's dwarf and gnome machines.
- The card says "Talk to them", whoever works the dock; the footer shows the last of your lives when a boss ends the game.
STRIKE.EXE, after the first two-player games
- Challenge from the right-click menu. Right-click someone in your party or raid who has Power Word: Shell: Challenge to STRIKE.EXE, in the BiS section beside BiS Tools' rivals, pals and party list. No command to remember.
- The challenge card shows who. Their own character's face (or their side's commander when they're too far for the game to draw), their name, their side and army - in the family's shape, and you can drag it where you like.
- The lit column is a suggestion. Picking a unit lights the column it stands best in; the grid now says "lit: suggested", and the hint says any cell works.
- Every unit in 3D - a full board on both sides, no more icons walking the lane.
- The Kodo wears a kodo's icon, not a bomb.
