This addon is a work in progress. Features and behavior may change dramatically throughout development.
Big BiS List helps you decide which gear to work toward and where to get it. Browse Best in Slot (BiS) lists, see how your equipped gear ranks, and keep track of items you want, all in game.
Getting started
- Install Big BiS List for your Anniversary game installation and enable it on the character selection screen.
- Type
/bblor/bigbis, or left-click the minimap button, to open the window. - Check the selected class and spec. Use Current Spec to return to your character's detected selection after browsing another spec.
- Choose Endgame and a content phase, or Leveling and a level. Open your bank to include banked gear in ownership tracking.
Find your next piece of gear
- Upgrades helps you choose what to work on next, with priorities based on list rankings and usefulness across phases. It can also point out recommended upgrades you already have in your bags or bank.
- BiS List lets you browse recommended items by equipment slot. Choose a raid tier to see its recommendations. Pre-Raid adapts to the current content phase using the release schedule included with the addon.
- My Gear shows your character's equipped items and their place in the recommendations. Use Find upgrades beside a slot to see options for it.
- Enhancements brings together gems, enchants, and consumables, with their sources and requirements. Switch between the three categories or browse all.
- Wishlist keeps the items you have starred together, with rankings across phases and relevant specs. Group by activity to see which targets come from the same place.
In Leveling mode, Gear Guide combines suggested pickups from leveling guides with recommendations based on item stats. Browse levels 1–69, or use Current Level to return to your character's level. My Gear and Wishlist are available in this mode too.
See where items come from
Search for an item or source, then narrow the list with filters such as slot, ownership, zone, reputation, or source type. The available filters depend on the view. Remove individual filter chips or reset the view's filters to widen your search again.
Click an item to open Details. Acquisition information can include bosses, quests, sellers, prices, crafting requirements, reputation requirements, and token exchanges. When several routes are listed, check their requirements to choose one that fits your character.
Ownership labels distinguish equipped items, bags, banked items, and missing items. Bank information is saved per character and reflects the latest scan when that character opened the bank.
Save items and check tooltips
- Click an item's star to add or remove it from your Wishlist.
- Right-click an item for actions, including hiding it. Restore hidden items under Settings → Hidden Items.
- Shift-click to link an item in chat, or Ctrl-click to preview compatible gear.
- Hover over an item to see matching recommendation rankings in its tooltip. Hold Alt while hovering to expand the rankings.
Open settings with /bbl settings or by right-clicking the minimap button. Settings include window appearance, table density, tooltip options, and hidden items. You can drag the minimap button to reposition it.
About the recommendations
Recommendations are based on Wowhead TBC guides and item information, with reviewed corrections. Data updates arrive with addon releases; the addon does not fetch guides while you play.
Upgrade priorities use recommendation rankings rather than simulating your character. Treat them as gearing guidance: the best choice for your current setup can depend on your build and other equipment. Leveling suggestions help you find gear; they do not provide a complete questing route.
Feedback and credits
Report problems or suggest improvements in this page's Comments tab. For a recommendation issue, include your class, spec, selected phase or level, and the item involved. /bbl status prints the addon version and loaded data summary.
